Multiple PBN sources: Bobcats to trade Wallace Multiple sources have told Pro Basketball News senior writer Tony Mejia that a trade involving Charlotte's Gerald Wallace is imminent. More details coming to PBN as the story develops: http://www. probasketballnews.com
Not surprised at all. Take a look at the unimpressive collection of albatross contracts the Bobcats have assembled. That's a high price to pay for mediocrity and an even tougher sell for fans that aren't yet sold on supporting that franchise. Not to mention, they face a tough decision this year on whether or not to pay Felton next. All i'll say is I hope Wallace stays out East. If a conference rival is able to swing some Artest-level swap i'm going to be a sick. He's a tremendous player on both ends of the floor and could potentially be an "over the top" type of acquisition.
That was my immediate thought also. It makes perfect sense considering Harrington's discontent (plus smaller contract) and Wallace being an ideal fit on a Don Nelson team. PG Ellis SG Jackson SF Maggette PF Wallace C Biedrens That unit could put GS on the map again.
The media have been reporting MJ had Wallace on the trading block all off-season but Larry Brown wanted to keep him but then started shopping him again when the season began. Considering that horrific KO he got playing at PF is it such a good idea to play him there?
Don Nelson is so weird. I think he just wants someone in the rotation because Harrington is getting less and less time. Last week I saw extended minutes from the following GS lineup: Magette, Jackson, Harrington, Turiaf, and Biedrins. And we all know he loves to go small too.
He is one of my favorite NBA players. He reminds me a lot of Scotty Quitten (Pippen). But that's not why he's one of my favorites, don't get me wrong. I mean he's a 6'7 small forward that can get you 17 pts, 6 rbs, 3 assts, 3 steals and 1.5 bloks consistantly.
I was reading the Charlotte Bobcats board and they kept calling Gerald Wallace "crash". Why is crash his nick name.
He has a history of injuries, several of them a concussion in recent years. The injuries are a result of the way he plays, often recklessly.
I'm going to guess it is because he either closely resembles an Academy Award winning movie about racism or Kevin Costner. Probably the movie.
Raymond Felton is also said to be on the block... He would be a vast improvement over Rafer...............
