https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ya...-turned-40m-pelicans-last-year-001753364.html From Stein’s report: Word also reached us Monday night that LeBron’s Lakers, after signing Rajon Rondo away from New Orleans and then losing Randle to the Pelicans, had an opportunity to sign Cousins at a one-year price point similar to the one that landed him in Golden State. But I’m told the Lakers passed, clearing the way for the Warriors to infuriate the basketball public yet again. As well Cousins had an offer for 2/40 mid season, after the injury from the Pelicans which he turned down
He didn't turn down Rondo. He didn't turn down Lantz. He didn't turn down McGee. But he turned down Cousins on one leg. Does he want to tank and get a top 5 pick this year?
Makes sense, Cousins is currently injured and LeBron just went through a rough time with Isaiah Thomas. Cousins might not play until after the all star break and he's definitely going to be a liability for a while. Honestly the Cousins deal is a rehab contract with a chance to **** up the league in the playoffs
