What will Nene do? Will they bring him off the bench to back up K-Mart or can he start at the 5 in place of Camby with Marcus coming off the bench at both spots?

They need depth at the 2 & 3. What about giving them Pike & A. Griffin?

the way things have gone this offseason, something tells me if there weren't a cap on max contracts, kmart would've been offered about 10 years, 200 million.

seemed like a pipe dream a year ago when he said he wanted the max.

Please GOD tell me you're joking. Please. PLEASE.

Nene's not going anywhere. CAmby's not going anywhere. We want to have a Kevin McHale type coming off of the bench. That will probably be Camby (to preserve him from wear and tear). In some instances, Camby and Melo can be used VERY SHORT TERM in the same lineup as Camby and Nene.

    C - Camby
    PF - Nene
    SF - Martin
    SG - Melo
    PG - Miller/Boykins

VERY short periods of time though.

I'm just praying that we either reach an agreement to send them a pick to not match the deal so we can get off our ass and go after Trenton Hassell with the bit of money left over.

    PG - Miller/Boykins
SG - Hassell/J. Barry (vet minimum)
    SF - Melo/Bowen (vet minimum)
    PF - Martin/Camby
    C - Nene/Elson

EDIT: I posted this at 6:52 mountain time, I have no idea why it appeared out of order

Maybe this will motivate CD to get off his butt, and do something about adding depth to our roster.

Funny how even with Shaq going East, the West still gets stronger.

I think every team in the West should be prepared to run.

    Next year's power ranking:
    1. SA
    2. Sacramento
    3. Memphis
    4. Dallas
    5. Houston
    6. Denver
    7. Lakers (if they keep Kobe)
    8. Utah

I just don't understand the obsession with KMart. A fourth year PF with a 16.7ppg and 9.5rpg in the East, plus he was playing with Kidd. Yeah he is a good player, but does he deserve this kind of money?

It will be interesting to see if NJ matches that offer. I am guessing that NJ wont, but you never know.

I would bet that the Nuggets would start Martin at PF and Nene at C with Camby coming off the bench to preserve wear and tear. I think the Forward combo of Martin and Melo could be very good for the Nuggets. And I think Nene can play adequete center. He has long arms and is strong. No reason he cant man the C spot full time.

If the Nuggets dont get Martin, then I think they will hold onto their cap savings until next year. Martin is the last ditch effort.

If this does take place, once again, more talent comes to the West. And once again it is a forward!

CD blew this one big time, Kenyon and Steve Nash were ready to come here for half the MLE each and a matching pair of Toyota Tacomas. But they called up CD and he was literally asleep, in his pajamas, so then they went over to his house, but they tripped over Brent Barry, who was in a sleeping bag on the front porch. They tried to leave him a message, but his voicemail was full of messages from Kobe Bryant and Carlos Boozer, who were ready to sign for the veteran minimum. Anyway, I think CD has really got to get his act together on this, because Toronto's GM is on line 1 offering Vince to try to pry Mo Taylor away...
