It was a pretty old podcast. Go to Simmons espn page to find it. Awesome interview because Morey doesn't have his usual "I don't want to tip off too much" mindset with the local hosts.

Simmons should be rolling with all his book sales, right? Gotta help his friend a bit with the payments.

 

My one criticism of Morey is that he's a bit too chatty, so I always figured it was inevitable that something like this would happen.

 

I think I heard it already. Was it when Simmons had him on for like an hour?

 

i understand the fine but 100k for this when players/coaches still said stuff or implied things about the refs and went unfined?

i wonder what was said exactly to tick off stern i listened to the podcast maybe it was the whole its easier to sign and trade for a max FA then sign out right that probably pissed of the knicks and in turn stern

At least he didn't release the schedule early.

 

100 grand is blackjack money for when he wants to count cards at a rube casino.

 

I'm sure he's doing fine in the financial department.

 

I think the thing that really did it was when he mentions that he doesnt believe there should even be a cap and then went on to explain how it actually does make a lot of sense.

Its a power trip thing where he doesnt want fans, players, and teams to question his authority and realize the greed of the NBA and how the ones at the top are making out big time with the institution of the CBA while the players and organizations are taking the cut.

 

What a load of crap...

 

I don't feel like listening to the whole thing. What was Morey's basic reasoning for supporting no cap?

I hate the lack of a cap in baseball. Why would it be any better in the NBA?

 

Is it the Feb 22 podcast or something newer?
