Who do you all think would be the best replacemement for Jackson? I came up with about four names of players who I think we could get and who might be longer range players for us.

1-Chris Mihm-decent shot blocker and shooter. Chris could grab some boards, block some shots, and already has a better offense than any other center we have.

2-Keon Clark-straight defensive player, could be good for some rebounds and blocks but he is a lot like Cato (down to the initials)

3-Jahidi White-just a BIG man, fills the lane and has a better than average offense

4-Olumide Oyediji-everyone wanted him here last year, good athlete but raw, perfect 4 for a team that runs (he can block and board as well as run)

Keon Clark is better player out of Four, He's a good on the defensive end and above average on the offense and if he can be trained around Francis, Morris and Jones he will definitely accelerate to the peak but then again, it's the work ethics that will take him to the next level of his game.

Mihm could defintely help the rockets out. He can block shots. He can hit shoots from atleast 12 feet out. High FT%. Good rebounder. Tall. Needs to hit at a higher clip, but that will come. A three headed dragon with Cato Mihm and Collier would be great, but I doubt the rockets could pry him loose with a case of dynamite.

    Jahidi White

A 5 who can board and block a few shots. Plus he's another big body to lean on SHAQ

Why not go to Chicago for Brad Miller for Walt Williams, Krause always wants to be under the cap and Williams contract expires next year. Miller is signed for 2 years and Rudy seems to like him since he played for him on the USA team. Throw in a draft choice and the salaries will work for a straight up trade. That way we do not have a 4-5 to play center but a true center.

I like chris and I like white, but both of them can not run. So, that leaves clark. You got to have a center that can run with the Rox. If you can find that person, he could pick up alot of board points. We don't need a center to run plays, but to rebound, block shots, and run. We need a Theo Ratchiff type of center.

I agree Flagrant. I would go with Ike. He's cheap and he has a better shot than we thought. Hell, if its open to competition and not on draft status, he's ahead of Collier.

I just don't think Ike has NBA talent.

He lacks a consistent jump shot
    He's undersized for a 5.
He doesn't do anything particularly well.

Mihm, White, or Clark would all be good. Unfortunately, I don't think we have the right components to trade for them. With Haywood down, Washington needs White for the time being. Clark and Mihm are both top level talents, and would require us taking on seriously bad fodder, or trading a major piece, neither of which are enticing possibilities.

I would like the Rockets to get Mihm but Cleveland would never give him up. Three average centers is OK with me. The offensive will come from the others. Put Cato, Collier, and Ike in for the rebounds. When playing the Lakers put one in--- foul Shaq 5 times, then put other Center in--- 5 fouls. Then Ike.

Are you looking for a center??

Brad Miller. He's lost 20 pounds, and looks and is playing great. 16ppg in the preseason.

Eddy can score in this league and needs the PT. The only way to learn defense (at this point he makes Kukoc look like an all-world defender) is to play and get your brains bashed in while perfecting your technique.

You can have him...for a future first rounder. Don't you have an extra one or two?

I'm and with you if we have 1 or 2 years to exercise moving it or if it is lottery protected.

You don't have a first rounder from us. It's two second rounders---and scuttlebutt says we're shipping Michael Ruffin (very good post defender and excellent rebounder---hate to see him go, but no roster room) and the pick we just traded for from Miami to you to complete the deal...

The deal was a first or 2 2nds...

Michael Ruffin and a 2nd rounder? Hmm, actually makes a little bit of sense.

Where'd you hear that? There's a very small window left for it to go down, before we'd have to throw in some player. With the med exception, it'd be possible.

Chicago dailys. He's still on his rookie contract...and we just traded lampley because we had too many players.

They say Chicago keeps trying to pay off the debt early so it can have it's pick free for the trading during the midseason, but the rockets seem to enjoy frustrating Krause...

Okay, the four people you suggested UT Baller aren't too bad, but how do you propose we get them? Who would we trade to them, and why would they want to take what we give them? I just don't see the Rockets making a trade right now, but I could be wrong.
