I can't find my car keys. Does anyone know where I can get a cheap replacement set without the originals? it is for a 99 Land Rover. Thanks.
Some manufacturers keep a VIN-to-key database - or so I've heard. Try calling the local Land Rover dealership to see if they can print you a copy of your key from telling them your VIN.
You can buy the blanks on ebay, and if you are a smooth talker, you might be able to get them cut for free at the dealership.
Well, I just called a land rover parts store, and they can get me a replacement for $40 with the VIN. Not as bad as I thought. Of course the keyless entry will be more.
Trust me, you'll find your original car keys right after you get your new one. You could try this, too. Have one of your buddies come over your house and hide something non-valuable while you're outside, like an old shoe or a pen, then go look for whatever he hid. Now, you won't find what he hid, but I GUARANTEE that you'll find your car keys...
I think I'm gonna make an invention that works like when you lose your cordless phone and you push the page button on the dock. You like have it on your key ring or you can stick it on your check book and then you push your page button on this device if you ever lose these things and a high pitched noise will lead you to it.
that sux...I know you can be the keyless entry cheaper on the net, but i think it costs you a little to re-program...Maybe check the junk yard/parts store for used keyless entry... You lost them at work?
You mean like this? http://www.keyringer.com/ Or this? http://www.smarthome.com/3290.html Perhaps this? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000X0YTO/103-4628386-9355828?v=glance&n=228013
