Help! Our refrigerator crapped out yesterday morning It started with a pool of water that accumulated on the floor below the freezer portion (the refrigerator is a side-by-side freezer/fridge unit). The contents in the freezer started thawing out and after a short while the items in the fridge also started warming to room temperature. Can anyone recommend a good refrigerator repair company in Houston? Thanks in advance...

Maybe I am an idiot but we did this for my dad's GE. I called Sears. They said to come out the charge is 50 bucks, maybe it was 70 and it would go to the cost of the repairs. Anyhow they offer a warranty on the fridge for 2 or 3 years even thought it was not bought from there. So basically he had a new ice maker put in and recently he had some other part replaced as well all under warranty. I think the number is 800-4-My-Home. I mean it may have been cheaper elsewhere but they took care of it and my parents got peace of mind for the next 3 years.
