Check this out: On the Magic's website , they talk about their new "Commitment to the Past" program. The first honoree is Nick Anderson, and for no other apparent reason than to make Rockets fans double over in laughter, they're using a picture of him shooting a free throw.
it's not a free throw... ...click on the article and go to picture number three...it's a jumper over top of Mckey. i guess this thread can be locked now???
Guess you're right. My bad. Lock 'er up... or leave it up so we can all smile as we remember those four straight free throws clanging off the rim. Heh heh.
He was absolutely dreadful in the finals against the rockets. (along with Dennis Scott) But both he and Scott were on fire earlier in the playoffs that year.
Nick 'The Brick' had a good career ere the air went out of him over the space of four spacedy FTs. He was ne'er the same again.
Boy, talk about the Orlando Tragic, that franchise has seen nothing but high hopes and then doom immediately following. They have, yet another can't miss player in Dwight Howard. How are going to screw this one up?
its really sad, i don't like to see any player go down to injury, and i don't like to see any player go out like he went, one moment ruining their confidence. Even if it did benefit the rox.
When I was in high school there was a charity game at UH. Nick Anderson was there along with guys like Marbury, McDyess, and a few rappers. Anyways afterwards me and my friend followed a limo across the street to some press banquet going on next door. Nick Anderson stared at the crowd outside through a window. As people began to take pictures he would pose, and right before they snapped it he would cover his face. He was just playing with the crowd in good fun but one of the spectators yells out "hey thanks for missing those free throws a-hole". His demeanor changed, he flashed and angry smirk, and walked away... Good times. I also stood next to Kevin Willis, his arms were bigger than my life.
The only time in Shaq's NBA career where he could laugh at someone else's free throw performance. But it came at a hefty price.
