2008-2008 season Affectionately known as the "Crazy Pill" season or the last time we got out of the 1st round.
Wow, I didn't mean to submit my post yet. Anyway, 6 years ago today (April 15, 2009) the Rockets had a chance to clinch the division on the last day of the season with a win. It was a game against the Mavericks and a win could of had us as a top 3 seed, if I remember correctly. Oddly enough, we were competing with the Spurs for the division and they had to face the New Orleans Hornets, at the time. Anyway, we lost and the Spurs won, and were resigned to the being the 5th seed and having to face the Blazers in the first round (but without home court, like we would have this year.) Just interesting how things "repeat". So many parallels in this league, but its interesting when things deviate from what happened in the past. This team has done something out last "successful" team failed to do. Hopefully this means that this team can be more successful.
