Relationship Question......If you found out girlfriend had a mental disorder....

    So Ive been seeing this girl for a little while and I've come to a crossroads, she admits she admitted she is a pathalogical liar after I confronted her about a big lie and she broke down and asked me to help her get help. She said nobody has ever really cared about her and she doesnt really have many friends and she's lied uncontrollably since she was a kid. I know what it's like to grow up in a broken home so I can see her pain. Is this really something from birth? The fact she admits there's a problem and wants help is a big plus for me as Im not one to run from a challenge.....but the big question is can a mental disorder like this be helped? I really care about her even though it hasn't been a year and think she may be the one. We all have issues and Im not one to judge and if it's possible to fix an issue like this with a psychologist then I want to help her and be by her side. What do you all think?
