Bullard also voiced his displeasure that the Rockets were not utilizing his post offensive prowess. ------------------ "Of course, everything looks bad if you remember it!" Homer Simpson
Two nights in a row. Rudy finally realized that Carlos is better than Bullard. ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death."
Bullard dnp - coaches decision Wow, I didn't even notice this at the game. In fact, who is this Bullard, guy. What does he do; I can't seem to rememeber. Is he the guy who has all the post-game quotes like he's auditioning for a reporter job?
Actually, the DNP was a punishment for Bullard's trade demands. Right after Hakeem and Les met, Bullard decided the time had come for him to voice his displeasure with the Rockets offensive system. Ever since Rudy has broke free from the dump it in kick it out offense Bullard has been on a funk and unable to provide the scoring punch he usually brings off the bench. Bullard has demanded to be traded to a team that is willing to make him the center of the offense. I have heard that Shaq is lobbying to get him on the Lakers. Maybe a deal for Kobe could be arranged? ------------------ "Dream another dream, this dream is over... Dream another dream, this dream is over... Or he is just showcasing him for possible takers ZRB... a lot more likely. ------------------ "Dream another dream, this dream is over... Dream another dream, this dream is over... Dream another dream..." - from the Van Halen song, "The Dream is Over" (Thank you, Freak). Fitting, isn´t it?
I noticed. Two nights in a row. Two wins. Put los in whenever you get the chance and watch th W's stack up! ------------------ Kenny Thomas had a foul called on him in the Western Conference Finals.
Another hypothetical question. If another team offers a player with a contract expiring this summer for 'Los, should the Rockets do it to clear cap space? Mango ------------------ Spring cleaning
Yes. Los is a really good player, I think. I love to see him on the floor. But he is not going to be with the rockets after his contract is up, so I would definitely trade him for cap space. ------------------ Kenny Thomas had a foul called on him in the Western Conference Finals.
I was wondering if Bullard was injured. This is a good thing, IMO. Walt=Bullard. I'd rather see Rogers and Hakeem playing over Bullard.
heypartner, The Bender site has his contract expiring in 2002. She is pretty diligent about things, so I would think he has another year to go. Mango ------------------ Spring cleaning
This is the same Patricia Bender whose website says Hakeem's contract expires in 2004, right? Very diligent. ------------------ I am Jack's utter lack of surprise. www.clutchtown.com
Dream's contract definitely expires at the end of THIS year! Dream in the past has said that he will retire when his contract expires this year. Of course it looks like he won't retire, but definitely it expires this summer. ------------------ No sleep and no trade info make RocksMillenium something, something!
Sam, Here is another source since you doubt Bender. http://members.home.net/nbasalaries/Teams/houdata.htm Mango ------------------ Spring cleaning
My sources tell me that Phil Jackson has abandoned the Triangle Offense for something he calls 'bullsh!t basketball'. Jackson is attempting to round up several 3 point specialists that will do as they're told. My sources think that it will not be unlikely for both Walt and Bullard to find their way to LA, w/ the Rockets brokering a deal sending Kobe to NY for Rice, since we'll of course need a one dimensional player after Bullard is gone. ------------------ I've been reading movies since 3 o'clock..
It took this long? I still haven't figured that out. ------------------ Sometimes you gotta do the next best thing!
Mango, no. The only links I have say the same thing about Rodgers' contract (2002). So that is probably right. It's just that its been obvious for a long time that Dream's contract runs out this year, and yet I haven't seen it updated correctly on her site (and some others as well). IMO that that shows a lack of diligence, or at least updates. Its a pet peeve because I'd like to see a website that is current/accurate, and hers is touted as such even with such an obvious error. RealGM (and Tony's page, your link) have the Hakeem info right at least. ------------------ I am Jack's utter lack of surprise. www.clutchtown.com
heypee-No one's sure on Los' contract. Most think he has a player option for around 3 mill for next season. If you're a 3rd string big man, are you gonna get better offers than 3 mill? Probably not. Maybe it's Bullard being traded. Wouldn't every team going to the playoffs like to have a 3 point specialist off the bench? Utah? San Antonio? Dallas? New York? Philadelphia? Why has CD not called Toronto and begged them to trade Williamson (FA this year) for Walt? If we trade Walt and Los for FAs, we'd actually have 20 million for FAs, and that includes keeping Shandon unrenounced and signing him to an early bird when we finish making our moves, and 2 mill for picks. ------------------ The Serious Police are watching. Follow the rules or be assimilated. Shandon is underrated.
Sam, Tony's page has a footnote saying that he won't be updating his own site because he has joined realgm. So it makes sense for realgm and tony to be in agreement since they are one in the same. That deal about Dream's contract (Bender site) has caused questions on the BBS in the past. As you noted, it would be nice if she had gotten around to fixing it. It would help her credibility.
