Yes, the Jazz are playing tough D, getting in our grill and crowding us when we go up for shots. Credit to them.

But we are playing right into their hands by constantly playing iso ball. We need to put them on their heels, and one way of doing that is running the P&R between TMac and Yao inside the 3pt line.

They tried this a few times yesterday with mixed results, but the opportunities were there. We just need to execute better. The P&R is great because Yao sets monster screens which enable TMAC to get a full head of steam to the basket, while creating mismatches in our favor.

In order for the P&R to be more successful we need to execute better on these fronts.

    - Yao sets screen closer to the basket (inside 3pt line)
    - Tmac needs to drop it down to Yao if he is open on the roll (he was open a few times yesterday but was not thrown the pass)
    - Head, Rafer, Batman need to create angles for Tmac when he comes off the screen to receive the pass, and they need to HIT THEIR SHOTS
    - Need to continue running the play and be disciplined enough to KEEP going back to this well instead of jacking up low-percentage shots or constantly going iso.

if you've watched, they have been blizting tmac HARD off of any pick and roll. and if it's done w/ yao, another man rotates after his man comes on to double tmac. so the only pass is to the outside guy who just can't make a shot right now.

the only solution is for the outside guys to make shots to open everything up
