    Rehire JVG

Redundant thread I know there is no danger of this happening... however...

there is no way that we would be losing so meekly like we are under Adelman if we still had Gundy and his defense.

also I loved the way Jeff stood up for his players. There is no way he would stand idly by and let Yao cop what he's been getting from the refs with out standing up for him, not giving a damn whether it drew a fine or not, just as long as brought some attention to Yao's plight.

Just one time I'd like Rick to come out after a game (perfect opportunity for this was in Sacramento) and again at least raise the question of why Yao is getting called differently to everyone else. And during games, especially early, lay the foundation for the night by letting the refs know when Yao's getting shoved, having his jersey held onto etc etc.

as much as JVG pissed us all off, at least he gave us a chance to do well in the playoffs by getting us to stay focussed during the regular season....the way its going we'll be lucky to make it, let alone achieve homecourt in the 1st round like last year.

    END RANT

i think a compromise can be hiring him as an assistant coach focusing on defense LOL..

I still wanna give the new offense system a chance, but I want the old defense intensity back....

but i bet jeff won't like that LOL

Adelman is an unfair coach. He treats Bonzi different from other players, so other players don't play hard for him!

Honestly, I think rockets' current problem is not new system, instead, it is those role players who don't play hard.

Because it had to be vented.

I couldt sit idly by, much like Adelman watching Yao get raped on the court.

This forum has had a lot of redundancy to deal with in this forum.

Would the coach have anything to do with that?

Of course, if most role players don't play hard, that is coach problem. That should be one main responsibility for coach to let his players play hard!

Highly underrated post. That's freakin' hilarious.

And yeah I wish we had JVG's D back. But then he would only be Jeff Van Guny.

...I know it was bad. Sorry.

    New coach, new system.

Give it time. Remember, we started the 04/05 season very poorly as well.

We gave JVG 4 years to get us out of the first round. Oh, how these idiots forget so soon.

rick adelman is not working on this team. He lacks passion just like his two francis players thats why this is a bad hiring. If the players lack the passion to win games night in and night out, then atleast get a coach that can compliment and have passion. Now everyone is like ok we lost a game so what theres next game lets go home and sleep now.

even if rick adelman was fired, les woudn't bring back jvg. larry brown is essentially a jvg clone. yeah i know he's an ass but this guy is a proven winner. and i'm sure he'll use yao properly cause he's a big yao fan. he went out of his way to praise yao early in yao's career.

In all seriousness, I was never happy with the decision not to re-sign JVG. He was a strong candidate for coach of the year early on, even. I remember watching the job he did in New York, and singing the management's praises when we brought him in. He's my favorite coach of all time, personally. Works hard, great defensive tactician, took no nonsense, and even had a good sense of humor.

I hear everyone loud and clear when they say it takes time to integrate a new coach, a new system, new players, etc. I know that stuff. I really do. Those are valid points, and I'm sure this team will get stronger as the season goes on. But that doesn't stop me from believing we'd have done well to simply keep JVG.

    LOL zboy...

    time and time again, you have proven to me that you are undoubtedly the brightest light of this dull forum{no offense clutch, and the 30,000 posters...i adore this forum very very very much[long time lurker, banned numerous times :cool: ]... i just happen to think most of the conversations and analysis here have so much room for drastic improvments when it comes to entertainment values.}

Now wit that said, I think it's very redundant for me to suggest the idea of crowning zboy as the "golden boy" of this forum... u know like giving him the title" the golden boy" like "random idiot" given to robbie.

also, i think it's redundant to ban me again... especially IP BAN.. :D

    peace.

    kudos. :p

That team had a bad start cuz the lack of talent, and they got rolling right after a few key additions. However, this team has the best talents on paper, and they are just plain horrible.
