I recently quit smoking and as a result have been eating alot more. Unfortunately I have not had a good night's sleep as I wake up to go to the bathroom (#2) atleast twice, and am constantly bloated. I have never been a big eater so I'm not sure if I'm even digesting the food properly. Are there enzymes without side effects I should consider to help my digestive system? And I'm only 20 so I don't think I need a colon blow type product!

    Thanks!

I don't have a clue, if you don't tell us exactly what you eat and at what times.

I quit smoking back in January and didn't have this problem.

All kinds of things... from pot roast to protein shakes to Taco Cabana, I've never really had any problem foods in the past. I eat throughout the day, up until 2 hours before I go to sleep.

I googled Enema, and it just sounds like a laxative that has a lot of erotic things associated with it.

    1)http://www.amazon.com/Oxy-Powder-Co...4-3953529?ie=UTF8&s=hpc&qid=1179771338&sr=1-1

a little on the pricey side at $42.95, but seems to be getting pretty good reviews.

    2) cheaper, but not as good apparently.

    3) the product i tried though (and didn't really notice "a lot" of difference) was Colon Clenz

    1) stop eating protein shakes and all the other stuff. You're eating WAY too much meat. people who do that tend to have issues with their digestion. e.g. Atkins dieters who dont take a crap for a whole week and other assorted problems.

    2) if you want to be regular, eat more fiber...and no not oneof those fiber shakes, just eat more fruits and veggies.

sounds like diet is your problem.

taco cabana sure doesnt help either.

just use some common sense in your diet. more fruits and raw veggies. Stay away from fast food. etc.

correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't fiber, pretty much a one trick part of your diet?

as in, it aids in nothing more but taking a ****? just wondering.

I dont know if it does anything else in all honesty, but the crapping part is probbaly the 2nd most important thing after eating. You can eat the best stuff in the world but if it stays in your body, you're screwed.

Take 2 or 3 of these pills every day and you're guaranteed to take (at least) one good **** every day.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I am a little wary of taking a laxative/colon cleanser type product for more than a week because I've heard the stomach could become addicted to it. Do the colon cleansers immediately shed 3-5 pounds off your body? Do they need to be used consistently?

no need to take those colon blow products.

If you want to "clean" yourself out try a 2 day juice fasting...just to empty you out.

also, my older siblings and dad swear by Metamucil. Its just a fiber supplement that you mix with a little water and take daily.

fiber's job is to keep the intestines clean. Since it cannot be digested, it just goes through your system, cleaning off all the dangles along the way.

What is regular? I go only once every few days. When I go though, it is kind of soft.
