How would you allocate regular season minutes? My guess: 240 Total Min FVV 30 Reed 18 Amen 34 Cam 20 KD 32 Tari 26 Bari 26 Sengun 32 Adams 22 As a sidenote, I don't see much room to bring anyone else in, unless you ship out one of these 9.
I hate load management, but everyone seems to want it for KD so factor him sitting out 20 games and what those minutes will look like.
Until Cam learns how to actually show some desire to play defense and keep his attitude in check, I personally don't think he's done anything to deserve 20 minutes a night on a championship caliber team. We need another SG to take the lion's share of those minutes.
I'm fairly certain this roster is not finalized and at least one more rotational piece will be in bound.
I don’t think load management really works, but you could sit him on B2B games and see which rotations work without Durant in the lineup when he does eventually miss time.
There is no way he plays more than 65 games. I think load management absolutely works! Every game a guy doesn't explode his ACL or Achilles is a big deal.
Great points... So Bari likely gets a solid bump from that, maybe Jeff/Jock too, assuming they bring them back.
What I'm most curious about is shot distribution. Since KD and Jalen had almost the exact same FGAs last year, how will DB's departing 12 FGAs be distributed among Amen(10), Alpi(15), Jabari(10) and Tari(10)?
Jalen got 32.9 mins and Dillion got 31.8 mins last season, so the deal freed up a total of 64.7 mins. If we don't have more big changes in the roster, and let's say we give Durant 30-35 mins, there should be around 30 mins for Reed and Cam.
I expect Amen’s usage to increase, hopefully substantially - due to opportunity as well as improvement w his shot and handles.
My thoughts exactly. He was basically at 12 per game the last half of the season and Ime will let him run point more often coming up. If Jabari plays with more purpose and has a little more pep in his step, he should get at least 2-3 more shots.
