Guys, if you were hoping to get Bush in the draft, then you will like this video of him in high school. http://www.nytimes.com/2005/11/30/sports/ncaafootball/30reggie.html
wow.....it is high school and you can tell he's just A LOT faster than everyone at that level, but his balance is incredible. the fact that he can run that fast and keep his balance to cut and spin is incredible. barry sanders and emmitt smith had the best balance of any backs i've ever seen, but when you add bush's unbelievable speed into that, he may the greatest balance EVER as a runner. just remarkable. the texans would be morons to pass on him. because as you can see, he doesn't need much of line sometimes, and that's a necessary skill to play offense on the texans.
Is there a way these videos can be downloaded. I've tried 3 computers and all of them play the video choppy. Watching Reggie Bush on a choppy video is like playing Everquest on a 56k modem.
Jesus....watching that makes me feel better about the Texans future (unless they screw up and win a few games)!!!!!!!!!!
I officiate high school football here in San Diego, and he was absolutely amazing and he was very classy even in High School. That quality is very rare too as most of the HS "stud" RBs I've officiated have been real jerks.
Reggie Bush is an amazing collegiate level RB. I'm not convinced that his success will carry over to the NFL. Then again, it all depends on what team he ends up with.
damn, watching a watered down high school competition makes me feel great about bush! Next time you see me, let me know "Where's your money?"
LaDanian Tomlinson is about 20 pounds heavier and two inches shorter than Bush. They also run differently, and Tomlinson is much stronger.
True...Tomlinson, a player in his 5th NFL season, is 20 pounds heavier than Reggie Bush, a college junior. Its pretty irrelevant comparing the weights of both players. Reggie is also more elusive than Tomlinson.
Tomlinson was heavier out of college than he is now, if I recall correctly. He's also more of a power back then Bush is. They're different players with different styles. Ladanian Tomlinson's success means nothing towards whether or not Bush will succeed.
