I take it you've never read one of Nomah's movie reviews. In a nutshell, you can believe the exact opposite of everything he says.

    :D

Besides LOTR Behad, I'd like to hear some specifics.

Jeez. Insult LOTR, and you will never live it down I guess.

    Larry Fitzgerald looks solid.

I feel like sometimes running backs have a tough transition into the pros. Therefore I agree with the person that said Chris Perry. He kind of fits that Ki-Jana Carter prototype.

Eli Manning also looks pretty solid.

Best Offensive Player: Larry Fitzgerald, runner ups, Eli & Rivers
Best Defensive Player: Will Smith, runner ups Wilfork & Hall

Biggest Offensive Bust: Reggie Williams. Not do to his talent, do to his focus and ethic. (think Micheal Westbrook)
Biggest Defensive Bust: Chris Gamble (well not really a bust--
I think Gamble will have a rude awakening to the NFL, but be OK in the long run)

    Other dissappointments:

Taylor--I don't think he will be a bust, but I think Taylor is overrated (Some are saying he is better than Roy W and worthy of a top 5 pick--better in pass coverage maybe but not run defense or hitting/intimidation which is a big part of being safety).

Mike Williams--will be good but not a game breaker (e.g., Plaxico Burris or a late model Keyshuan). USC's offense was too potent overall and made everybody look just a little better than they would on another team. It will be a much bigger gap in playmaking ability between Fitz and him than people realize. Roy W may turn out to be the better pro as well.

Greg Jones--big strong guys who are fast, but with no running insticts, do not make great pro players. You can't just live off outruning or running over pro guys, unless you are Bo Jackson, which Jones is not. Perry and Kevin Jones will be better pro backs.

Biggest Offensive Bust - well I hate to say it, but Eli can probably never live live up to Peyton's success and that's what he will be measured against. He will tell you he is just not 100% driven by football like Peyton. The biggest risk in the draft is a top 10 quarterback. Also I think Chris Perry will be out of the league in 3 years.

Defensive Bust - If Taylor isn't better than sliced bread he will be considered a bust but I say either Gamble or Hall will never start.

Best Ofensive Pick - Gallery, offensive linemen are hugely underated. The left tackle is probably the 3rd most important player on any pro team. Also they tend to be easier to accurately evaluate in college, they don't bust as much as other positions.
But I'll bet the best value in the draft will be Rashaun Woods. He won't be taken till at least #35 but I think he will be as effective in the pros as any of the 6 receivers taken in the first round.

Best defensive pick - Again I'll go for best value. I'll say Teddy Lehman will go around #60 and will prove to be as good a player as Zack Thomas.

I have said it a hundred times or so here, but in following Miami Hurricane football for over 20 years, there are only 2 other defensive players coming out of Miami that are better than Sean Taylor (at that stage of career):

    Ray Lewis
    Warren Sapp

I disagree, especially if Eli wins a Super Bowl before Peyton. From what I read, many people feel that Eli is better at this point in his career than Peyton was.

Perhaps at the college level, but there are at least 3 LBs with his level of athleticsm (Boulware and two of Taylors teamates)--I'd rather get much later on the board (better value). I think Taylor will be a good pro, just don't think he will be the physical intimadator of a Roy Williams, Harrison, Atwater or let alone the total package like Ronnie Lott.

I certainly would pass on a Rivers (I think underrated), Eli, Fitzgerald or most of the other guys thought of as the top 10 prospects.

I totally agree on these 2. Gallery is the total package. Just plug him in at tackle for the next 15 years and don't worry (well pray for no injuries).

I am a huge OSU fan and I don't understand the hype on Gamble. He had a great year as a soph as a 2 way player and a very average Jr year. He was able to be succesful in college as a CB because he is an athlete. The best comparison to him is Derek Ross out of OSU. Derek came to teh Boys and had a great rookie year. Parcelss came in and said that he was like a dog chasing a tire (meaning he just chased people).

Best defensive Player: Will Smith. He isn't tall enough to be a prototypical DE (6'2) but he is fast (4.6), strong and a great athlete.

Offensive Bust: Chris perry. He is a workhorse and a great college back but I don't think he is fast enough to do much in the NFL..

Pretty obvious I watched too much Bit 10 football huh!

Ben Roethlisberger is clearly the best QB in the draft, if Eli were named Eli Jones instead of Eli Manning, he'd be a mid to late first round pick. Sean Taylor has LB size and CB speed, he had a bad workout, but so did Terrell Suggs last year.

Eli, he'll be a solid QB, players rarely are fantastic busts unless they have personality issues (i.e. Ryan Leaf being a sociopath), but they often don't live up to the hype, Eli won't, he's got hype because his father and brother were good QBs, but so did Pete Rose Jr. Chris Gamble is very talented, but he's far too raw of a cornerback to be playing in the NFL right now, he gave up several big plays last year for foolish mistakes, he really should have stayed at Ohio State for another year to get the nuances of being a CB.

    DS,

Do you not remember the 2 or 3 hits that Taylor put on Krenzel in the Fiesta Bowl?

For crying out loud, ST is 6'3" and 225 lbs and you don't think he is intimidating enough??

Sean Taylor is a man among boys. The way he dominated FSU in the regular season was just amazing. He picked off two passes and dropped 3 only because of the weather conditions. If Miami would have been undefeated he would have got a lot of Heisman hype. IMO picking Taylor would be the closest thing to a gurantee as there is.
