i wondered if anyone else thought this game was called very inconsistently, yao being raped and a no call, and us touching no one and getting fouls called on us. while the foul calls are a matter of opinion (not really) the one thing that truly miffed me was the taunting call on yao, is he not allowed to show any emotion? the call was bs to begin with but what truly infuriated me was kevin garnetts a@# getting all animated and not getting a call for taunting. its not that what he did was wrong but he was talikin alot more sh*t than yao was and got no taunting call. i am sick of yao showing these jokers (refs) respect and getting nothing in return in fact if anything the refs respect him less than other players, and that is downright retarted.

Well... the Twolves were getting some home court calls.
That's the way it is in the NBA. The refs not going T-up
KG for that in his home court. Yao probably would not
be T-up for "taunting" if the game was played in Houston.

The three Officials: Greg Willard, Leon Wood, Phil Robinson
Let's see how they called the game next time in Houston.

You guys should get used to no calls on Yao Ming. I'm not sure why but sometime Yao gets hammered and the refs don't do anything.... Surely they see it.

If only Yao get calls Dwayne Wade gets. Imagine that....

in the words of "mocitydon", y'all n's need to quit whinin'. :D

seriously... no if, and's, or but's about it. the rox were outplayed tonight. this is the type of game that we can't count on happening too often. tmac and yao going 3 for 5,698,489? yeah... not bound to happen again anytime soon. minn's d was terrific and adjustments weren't made in the second half (though i'm not sure if any could be made). this "no illegal defense" thingee sucks. kg would have been whistled every three seconds back in the day.

luckily, the season series with minn is over and we won't have to deal with them again (they won't make the playoffs). the only other player that the rox have to worry about on a playoff team that can have a defensive impact like garnett did tonight is shawn marion.

the only thing the refs could be blamed for tonight was that lame tech call on yao. that was ridiculous.

actually, the Rockets still have 2 more games with the Pups.

that tech call was pure doody, but it was not even a reason (Davis missed the free throw) why the Rockets lost.

thx for catching my mistake. i may have misheard the 610 on the way home saying "the wolves have tied the season series" and thought that was it between the two.

anyhow. wolves schmolves. they aren't playoff material. the only other playoff team that can cause the kind of a mismatch that kg did tonight is marion.

nah, you're giving way too much credit to Marion. he isn't half the player that KG is on either end of the court. he won't do didley against Battier and doesn't have a chance of stopping Yao once he has the ball.

i agree with everything you said, it just miffs me about the unequall calls. if what yao did was taunting garnett should have been ejected for at least two outbursts that were clearly taunting  its just bullsh@# !!!

other than that dumbass technical i didn't see anything out of the ordinary from the refs. yeah yao should get way more calls but's that pretty much standard.

Refs in to-night's game failed to call over 100 fouls committed by Mini against Yao Ming. JVG should make an appeal to the NBA about this situation. Garnet etc need to be warned about their over physical play and Yao Ming needs to go to the basket more.

Poor officiating crew. Called ticky tack calls but then allowed open shoving in the post then allowed a number of hits on jump shots. Anticipating calls, the tech on Yao but passing on the Wolves' post-shot dancing....They had some decent calls for the most part but went homecooking numerous times. Back breaking.

I turned it off halfway into the 4th when it was clear that they handed the Wolves major momentum and weren't going to allow us to win the game. Maybe we lose no matter what, but they were looking to make sure of it.

Every time you see Yao shoot a jumper (or even layup) that is way off the target, you know it's a no call. Yao's problem is that he is not Shaq. Shaq is so strong and quick that his shot (dunk) is not affected by those little pushes on the waist or elbow. However, Yao relies on his shooting touch and the no calls are killing him in a game that the "contacts" are "allowed".

Do you believe that Yao only deserved 5 FT's (one of them was a T) after he played 41 minutes in an extremely physical game like yesterday?

why is it taunting if you yell after a dunk, but not taunting if you yell, jump and pump your fist @ midcourt after a block?

    anyone?

    bueller?
