With 2 games left the season is almost over how would rate this season? They have 41 wins now so they are guaranteed to least finish at 500.

For a team like this to finish over .500 (or at .500 at the very least) is remarkable, considering all the injuries and drama that occurred early on in the season...

It's sad that we didn't make the playoffs, but we were never expected to anyway... I was surprised to see that we actually came close however.

Next year will definitely be different...

I am proud as hell, expectations were so low because of all the so-called "analyst" expectations but you got to see what certain players can do.

    Pretty darn good.

Without Yao, and Tracy's "will he, won't he" drama until mid-season, we overcame some pretty big psychological issues holding us back.

As the best non-playoff team this season, I really think we have the best chemistry out of everyone in the league.

There's no "superstar" on this team currently, and no one's ego is through the roof.

We are comparable to the Pistons team that won the title in '04-'05, without the trophy, of course.

Satisfied, and excited. I'm not exactly proud of the fact that they didn't make playoffs in the end, but it's understandable, and we have a bright future ahead of us with Yao, lottery pick, and the God-King of GMs. That's good enough for the moment, and next year has a lot of high expectations as a result.

Proud of the team, they gelled pretty well together and I saw a lot of leadership throughout the season.

Still wish they got to the playoffs though.

    Why does everyone say this?

We were never pegged to make it to the playoffs.

If people give the Rockets a B for this season, it's scary to think what would happen if they were Nets fans.

You just can't be disappointed with this year's team. Anyone who is, has expectations that are way too high.

Rockets had alot of games they could have and should have won that they let get away that might have helped them get to the playoffs
I'm sure the players are disappointed in the season and not making the playoffs and as a fan I am too.

You can bring up all the obstacles they had during the season but
Moral victories dont count in the Win Loss Columns.

I voted B, and mainly because i think this team had the CHANCE to make the Playoffs.

As much as i think Morey and Adelman both did a good work with McGrady´s deal i think they just missed a lot on their timing. Which i understand at all because the deadline is when most teams want to deal.
I think mainly Morey was not able to manage the subject a little bit less untidy. Because even if they were polite both towards the team and towards McGrady, the moment of the trade and all the atmosphere that it involved ended up getting in the players heads at a crucial time in the season. And even if they played great towards the Trade Deadline, even those as Scola who were probable trade baits, they were unable to sustain the level of play. Because i think they relaxed a little bit, some bit that wouldn´t be noticed if the team structure didn´t change. But was very noticeable because Martin was introduced into the system and because both Ariza and Lowry were injuried.
I also think that having made the deal earlier in the season could have prevented injuries to both Battier and Ariza, meaning a better record.

Still Graded B because it was a great team effort, and at the end of the day, that´s what you look for in a team game.

    Just my views.

    Cheers

I give them a B... They show a lot of heart, I would have liked to keep Landry but I like Martin's game and I think pairing him with Yao will give us a great combo to make a deep run... We beat some good teams and showed that we can play with the best of them...

Better than expected, once it was clear that Tmac was done, I was hoping for .500.

I am probably as proud of this team as any Rocket team I've seen in my almost 30 years as a fan. Expectations were low, but this team played with so much heart and really IMO set themselves up for a great season next year. I'm pretty stoked and can't wait to see what Morey does this summer. I believe we'll make a solid run at the title in 2011.

VERY proud, but missing the playoffs will sting while I'm watching all of our rivals out there duking it out.

Expectations or not, it hurts to be as close as we were. We are one of the greatest non playoff teams of the decade, and that's no consolation.

I thought they would maybe make the playoffs earlier in the season when they made it through that 'tough' stretch of games and were a couple of games above water. The schedule was suppose to be a lot easier from there but they didn't seem the same from that point. They still finish with 40(or more) wins and that's what I had them at at the beginning of the season.

Better than expected for me. It was a fun season to watch, I had no playoff expectations and watching guys like Brooks/Landry and the rookies grow was exciting.

Its was a good season, because we got kevin martin, and brooks and scola improved a lot. without injuries, this team could have enter the playoffs.
Im glad they didnt wanted to tank, and tried to win every game.
    Nice effort!

My expectations from the beginning of the season were met... though after our hot start I raised them a bit thinking we may be able to squeeze into the playoffs.

But I'm still proud of the guys for toughing it out and not giving up!

I really love the guys on our team... and I hope Morey can find us another star player without losing too many of them.
