    The good:
Started dating a beautiful amazing girl in March.
Graduated with a degree in Finance and turned 23 years young in May.
Landed a financial job 2 weeks after graduation making a decent salary.
    Witnessed history. (First black president)
    Adopted a cat.

    The bad:
    I hate my job.
I live in ATX so I don't see any Rockets games.
I live in ATX so I don't get to go to any Rockets games.
Tracy Mcgrady used to be my favorite player in the NBA but lately he's making it really hard to support him.
The human civilization seems to be slowly destroying itself.

There was much more in between but I am in the middle of closing the books for the month so I can't really think of anything atm.

2008 was a real mixed bag for me. There were a lot of ups and downs.

-January through May was pretty uneventful for the most part, just enjoying my free time, working part time. going to a lot of Rockets games. Clutchfans basketball pickup games were always fun, met a lot of great guys like CCR, Raven, macalu, htownfan, OldManBernie, francis4prez, and a lot more.

-Got to sit near courtside on MLK day vs the Sonics with Dave2000, finalsbound and Miguel. I remember wanting to reach out and slap Delonte West.

-Game 2 of the playoffs was a lot of fun (except for the game). We entertained The_Yoyo again and Kam drove us all to the TC in the back of his pickup. Afterwards we took pictures outside of us pretending to kill ourselves by the statue of Dream.

    - June I went home to California to visit my family for a week, while I was there I purchased en engagement ring.

I proposed to my girlfriend a week later in Galveston, on the beach with a simultaneous orange sunset in the west, rainbow over the ocean, and a lightning storm going on in the distance to the northeast. Epic.

-July I found out my Grandfather's health was deteriorating rapidly. Many anxious days followed, finally my cousin had to call me and inform me that the lung cancer had finally spread to his brain and he was likely going to pass away within the next few days. This was tough. I begin making travel arrangements to go up there. He died on Wednesday the 23rd. I arrived on Friday the 25th. The memorial service was hard. The funeral was hard. He was my role model in every way. I talked to him on Father's Day, and I had told him that I was going to propose to Shannon, but it was a secret and to not tell the rest of the family yet. That was the last time I ever got to speak to him. I wrote a long poem that my family ended up putting on the brochure for his memorial service. My Uncle delivered a beautiful eulogy. We said goodbye to a great man. Nearly 6 months later I still can't believe he's gone sometimes.

-August I started going back to school full time. I took 1 class at UH and some other online classes via HCC.

Hurricane Ike was a pain in everyone's ass. Although we didn't suffer any damage, I was without power for 11 days. I remember checking the stupid centerpoint updated power outtage map every couple of hours. I ate nothing but fast food. FEMA offered finally to get me into a hotel, but of course by then there were no available hotels within 200 miles. It could have been a lot worse, I'm just glad its over with now.

After the Hurricane I realized I had really let myself go over the past year or so physically. My finacee and I started dieting together. I'm happy to report that as of right now, since we started around October, we have both lost over 20 pounds. I bought her an elliptical bike for Christmas that I'm sure we will both get a lot of use from.

December - Got to go to the Monday Night Football game between the Texans and Jags. That was a lot of fun.

I bought a new car in Feb. Its nothing fancy but my first big purchase as an adult.

I went through quite a few jobs throughout the year but despite that I glanced at bank account last night and was pretty pleased on what I brought in. I'm starting to get an idea on what to do for $/career.

Hurriance Ike hit me pretty good in Seabrook I lost my apt but moving into a house next month. I managed to make a decent profit from the insurance which i finally recieved this month.

November 1 2008 was the most insane sporting event I've ever attended in the UT/Tech game. It was mardi gras with a epic football game.

I've goten awfully good at foosball

I've gained about 35lbs throughout the year.

I met a good girl in October we are dating now...

Not a bad year but I'm looking forward to 2009...
