Are the Reebok X-Beam Franchise basketball shoes worth the $90? I was thinking of buying a pair. Are they comfortable? What are some of the most comfortable basketball shoes?

Does anyone have a pair, I'd like to know too, now that the "lows" are out.

NO, not worth it...buy his jersey, not the shoes if you want to support him

I didn't like the shoes either. They hurt when I played in them and they never adjusted. I've found that the best basketball shoes are Nikes.

I bought the white low tops a few weeks ago. I dropped about $80. I was choosing between the Adidas SL (SportsLuxury) Hoops, the Iverson A^3, the new Nike Vince Carter Shox, and then I spotted these slick white shoes.

They look badass and I keep em clean:

They come in a couple of other color schemes too.

They have the words "Franchise" on the backs.

They are light, so I like the lowcut...I don't twist my ankles often...but because they are low cut, they don't provide great support.

They are real comfortable in walking, once you break em in. At first, the shoes would be painful on the top, where the laces would end (at the foot's instep). You don't notice that while you're hooping though.

    The traction is fine.

The main problem, and it is a big enough problem that I'm looking for ways to fix it, is that my toes get crushed forward when I stop on a dime in the forward momentum. It's not the top of my toes that hurt, but the front of them. I guess Reebok wanted to make the front real durable, like a car bumper or something, but it's freakin hard material. I think I'll try to get some foam like material put in between the front of my toes and the shoes to provide some cushoning.

Overall, I think they are a quality basketball shoe, not top of the line though. But they look cooler than the Nike Shox, which in my opinion look stupid if you're not on the court. So The Franchises can be worn to just chill in too.

I have the same exact pair that Kim has. Very nice looking shoes IMO. I don't wear them for basketball though; they're way too low. They're a good pair of shoes to wear casually, which is what I do. If you're looking for basketball shoes, look to Nike Air or Nike Shox.
