I'm watching the American Bowl and noticed the Redskins new logo. When was this change made? How come it wasn't a huge deal in sports news, considering how much flak the team has gotten over the years for their racially insensitive logo? Do you guys think the new logo is better than the old one (in terms of being PC?) for those who may not have seen:
It looks too much like the Seminoles to me. They should have at least stayed with the old colors. That maroon and mustard looks weird.
That was actually the old Redskins helmet back in the 60's. They're wearing them to commemorate the team's 70th anniversary. During the season they're only going to wear them for home games, and the normal jerseys for away games.
thanks for the clarification... i'm glad to hear b/c as un-PC as the old unis may be, they are a part of NFL history... it would be like changing the dallas logo from stars to horseshoes!
I know it was just the first preseason game, but damn the Skinz looked good! 38 points is pretty damn impressive. This is going to be a very entertaining team to watch. Spurrier rules! I think the Redskins will be this season's Patriots!

I'll take those two games if it comes over the Suckskins! If the Cowboys and Skins dont make the playoffs and Boys take the Skins out twice I look at it as a successful year.
You think the Skins D is loaded? The Cowboys D will be at least top 3, they were #4 last year, and added Glover ,Hardy, and Roy Williams! Now only if Carter could be decent......

Actually, I think the Cowboys will be pretty decent this year, partly due to their bad division. They are in decent shape at every position except QB I think. However, I think the Redskins will be better and win the division.. Danny Wuerrfel (or however you spell it) will throw for 40 TD's!
Man if the Cardinals were still in the East, Fake Plummer would kill the Cowboys, and the Eagles, and the Giants, and the Redskins.
Is it just me, or do those new Seahawks jerseys look very similar to the Philadephia Eagles' jerseys? The logo and color scheme, while not exact, are pretty darn similar.
