Okay I have been watching this game off and on since 4pm ET. They are tied in the 17th inning after 5 and a half hours on the field. anyone know offhand what the longest game was? The Reds are down to like two players they have on the bench.
In 1920, a game between the Dodgers and Red Sox went 26 innings. The longest in terms of time is 8 hours 26 minutes between the White Sox and Brewers in 1984. That game went 25 innings.
Man I remember when the Astros went to those extra innings in the last 2 years we were good. I couldn't study at all.
Thanks for the hook up. I keep thinking surely they will call this game or something. What was a day game will soon have the stadium lights turned on!! Oh and its now the 18th inning and we are using the last of our pitchers. There is no one left on the bench for the Reds now.
You think they're going to call this game? I don't think that happens in baseball becasue it's taking too long.
3 run homer given up in the bottom of the 18th. Reds lost. What a bummer!! I am never getting those 6 hours back!
