So a buddy of mine and I want to go the game tommorrow. We would really like to sit with the rowdies. Where do we go to try to be one of the people who get the free ticket giveaways before the game. I have never done this before. I have a miniplan and usualy have tickets before I get down to the arena. I know some of the guys like dave2000 and some of others have mentioned this info before, but any help would be appreciated. What time would we need to get there?
make sure to take pics of said hot topless girl and post here...will alert the red rowdies in here for sure...

like i said in another thread, just do something to get noticed, you will get tickets, paint your face in red, where Rockets pajamas, anything to get the Rockets Rep, or the head Rowdies attention. Head up there around 6-630pm, they should be giving tixs away. Usually there is a crowd of Rowdies there, if not, just stand around until they start giving them out at the main LaBranch entrance. i think the best way to get free tickets would be to dress up like Turbo back in the day. but instead of the blue make it red
Me and a Buddy painted our faces red and got our tickets for free. After you get it make sure you do the Rowdie march around the building, it might wear you out before the game begins but its cool. Just go to the arena and walk around and you will see other rowdie fans, thats where the promise land is.. the land of free tickets.
That would be cool if someone did dress up as Turbo for the rest of the home games, it might bring good luck for the rest of the season.
If that is true, that really sucks. The Rowdies have done a great job this year and I can say the they truly deserve to be there for the playoffs. I recogonize so many of them even thugh I dont know any of them. I know that there have been plenty of Rowdies that have not missed a game all year. I am going to send an email to the Rockets ticket rep. On the other hand, I know some of the Rowdies that I recogonized early on in the year no longer come, or atleast haven been there the last few games.
Of course they aren't guaranteed free tickets....the only reason they are free now is that JVG and Tmac paid for them. The Rockets aren't being generous, they are running it like a business. The playoffs tickets are for sale....if the Rowdies want to go, they can buy a ticket or convince JVG and Tmac to pony up some more dough-ray-me ! DD
Personally, I also think we should be there for the playoffs, but as DaDa said, we (to steal a GOP talking point) serve at the pleasure of JVG and TMac. There have been a few of us who have not missed a single game (I am not one of them, my whole family came down with a GI virus the night Yao broke his leg), but many of us have missed one or two. There have been at least seven Rowdies who have had their tickets rescinded and have been replaced by others (like ron) for various infractions, mostly not showing up for enough games (we are only allowed to miss three all season). I still believe that JVG and TMac will pony up the dough for playoff tix, but even if they don't, this has been a truly magical season for me and for many others.
