Have the Astros worn out the red jerseys?

IMO it was their best looking jersey. IIRC at first red was for Sunday home games. Then for Sunday road games (Houston on the front). Then for day games (except Saturday at home). Now it's whenever they feel like it (except Saturday at home). It's nothing special now.

Take that back, the Texas logo on the BP hats looks like a blob.

I still love the red jersey but that Texas logo does look like blob. I wish they would sharpen it up some.

I personally miss the black ones they wore in 2000 and 2001. Home ones said Astros and the Road ones said houston. Those were sweet.

The Texas logo hats and patches look great IMO.

The Astros have had a long history of bad uniforms.

They got the name, logo and hat right in 1962 and since then it has been downhill.

I hate the pinstrips and want them gone also I either want the texas logo hat and or the old H.

    I like the Red Jerseys.

I thought that they wore Red Jerseys on Sundays and Holidays with either Astros at home, or Houston on the Road. I think they wore the white pants at home, and gray on the road.

I think they also have White Saturday day game jerseys with just the red star on the front. Did they do away with these jerseys?

And of course they have the white home jerseys with pinstripes, for regular games with gray and Houston on the road.

I wished we kept the same styling as the late 90s astros. Changing the color is fine or whatever, but I'm not a fan of the script writing, and the pinstripes. I don't even like the train. I'd prefer a Rocket Ship. That does make sense for the Astros.

I know MMP was built on/near a train station, but the Astros are so darn Futuristic, remember?

The Saturday jerseys are white with no pinstrips (much better than the other ones)

The red both home and away are nice. But the Astros on the jersey looks like a third grader learning how to write wrote it (the Houston looks ok)

Bring back the second generation Astros jerseys IMO

Well really bring back the Colt 45's and their gear.

BTW in 2000 we had a sat jersey with just a star

I really think the Astros should bring in one of those short -sleeved jerseys, all black with the star logo in the top right corner. Maroon trim.

did anybody like the blue and gold uni's we had before these? those where my favorites, and we only had them a couple years, then got the brick ones for the new ballpark.

i don't hate our uniforms, but i do miss the blue and gold from the last years of the dome.

As of right now I think we have five different jerseys .

    - the regular home jersey with white pinstripes and black letters
    - the white home alternate Saturday jersey with no pinstripes w/red letters .
    - the red Sunday home jersey with tan letters
    - the grey road jersey with red letters
    - the red away game jersey with the tan letters.

I have the biggio and bagwell jerseys in black from 2000 . they are by far my favorites in my collection .

Quite frankly, I hope the Astros dont change their jerseys again. they need to develope some tradition and history with their unis.

No kidding. Can we stop changing uni's every 3 years? How about 1 home jersey and 1 road jersey? It's worked pretty well for the Yankees over the years.

    The Astros retired:

    Black road Sunday
White home Saturday (white with red star)
    BP (black with red star)
BP cap (red with gold star, black bill)
BP cap (black with red star)

I think the Astros should ditch the home jerseys (pinstripes), use their Saturday jerseys instead, and bring back the old Saturday jerseys but with short sleeves. How about a sand colored jersey (like the Padres)?

The Astros have improved with every color change. The second best:

me too...it led me to another site and this..something i did not know!!

Did you know that the Phillies nickname is the oldest still in continuous use by any Major League team from any league? The franchise has had two other unofficial nicknames: 1883-1889 Philadelphia Quakers & 1944-1945 Philadelphia Blue Jays, but neither of these names were ever officially recognized by the Phillies, by the National Leauge or by Major League Baseball

I know I'm in the vast minority here, but I love the pinstripes. Love 'em.

I also love the cursive logo.

I also like the Rainbow guts (there goes what's left of my credibility). What I liked better from that era were the white unis with the rainbow stipes only down the sleeves. Still love the orange "H" on the navy blue star.

I always like the old school uniforms of the early 70's before they went to the rainbow uniforms.
