I have a problem with my linux machine. I can't get in to the graphical screen, as a matter of fact the screen is just black with no shell or anything. The reason is because I increased the resolution too much. How do I get into the shell so that I can modify it again? Thanks in advance:)

O.K I went in and I put this command in redhat-config-xfree86
but it brings me to a blank screen. How do I change it back to my previous resolution?

It's been a long time since I used RH9. You'll have to edit this file:

    /etc/X11/XF86Config

and manually change the resolution that way I think.
