Did you know that since we got Yao Ming on the rockets that we actually have a winning record against the lakers (3-2)?? I say this because we usually don't do well against the West elite and just manage to get to 45 wins due to the east, but if you look at every game and every time we play them, the games are always close. Somehow (I know the Lakers usually turn up the juice in the playoffs) I think that IF we make it into the playoffs at a low seed and we play one of the top teams, that's are best chance of getting past the first round. Definitely don't think we'd actually beat the Lakers in a series, but I think we can play our best and end up giving them a real battle for the ratings and respect for our team. Maybe its because Yao can hold is own on the offensive end against Shaq, and that our guards are better than the Lakers. Steve Francis was putting on a clinic against them.

That would be our best chance at an upset. San Antonio just out powers us on the inside, and the offense of Dallas (even this year in the one game we played them) just runs us into the ground whenever we try to make a run at them.

Actually, since the mid-90's, the Rockets have done well against the Lakers. Even during their down years, they played them tough. I remember them beating the Lakers early in 2000 when they weren't supposed to. I remember because it was the same night the arena referendum passed. :)
