Recommending a graphics card

Wait til Diablo III comes out, you'll get way better ones for 200$ than you'd get now.

 

^^^This. Why get it now if you just want it for D3.

 

Def wait til the game comes out. If you can buy a graphics that can do crossfire or sli and a motherboard that has two pci slots. This way it won't cost has much to upgrade in the future.

 

As others have said, wait if it's for a specific game. Then the card you want now will be cheaper. On the other hand, there will be newer, sexier, bigger cards when the game drops. That's the other edge of tech. You'll never have the newest, sexiest for long.

I would wait until January when Blizz announces the release date; I am also in search of a viable upgrade for my rig, it's running i7 920 and desperately needs something better than a GTS 250

my best advise is to camp slickdeals for a GTX 560Ti or HD 6950

 

I just picked up a gtx 560 ti for $200 after rebate at frys a couple days ago. Probably won't find a better deal until black friday, which isn't too far off.

 

Go for a GTX 570 it's around 300 dollars right now but once ATI rolls out their new 7x series the prices will drop.
