SUP! IT'S MY FIRST TIME ON. DESPITE WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO READ I AM "THE" ROCKETFAN. THAT BEING SAID LET'S PLAY REAL GM TODAY. :D HOW ABOUT CATOBOLIC + TRADE EXCEPTION TO PORTLAND FOR DAVIS OR KEMP(16+ points,9+ boards, 50%fg, 75%ft career). IF WE GET KEMP HIS KIDS WILL FILL UP THE SEATS AND WE'LL NEVER AGAIN BE LOW IN THE LEAGUE FOR ATTENDANCE. TRADE PICKS FROM RAPTORS TO KNICKS FOR OTHELLA(6'11" HOYA) OR COLLIER AND PICK. DON'T RE-SIGN MOOCH :( .NEXT YEAR DRAFT JUAN DIXON ; MOVE STEVE OVER TO THE 2. TWO YEARS FROM NOW S&T SWAP WITH SPURS (MAURICE AND SHANDN FOR THAT SCRUB TIM SUMTHIN:rolleyes: )NEW ROTATION: DIXON/FRANCIS/MOBLEY FRANCIS/MOBLEY MORRIS/GRIFFIN/BULLARD GRIFFIN/OTHELLA/KEMP DUNCAN/KEMP/OTHELLA ROCKETPRIDE :D

Though he has limitations, i think juan dixon will be a fine pro (however, he cannot play point guard)

Juan Dixon is THE reason TMorris couldn't get a shot last season. Dixon is the quintessential ballhog.

That's why dixon can't play pg. Baxter was another reason morris didn't get shots, but at the same time, morris was a reason morris didn't get shots.

Why would we want Dooling or Dixon to play the point when we already have Francis? Moving Francis to SG would be pointless, then Cuttino would half to come off the bench behind Francis. When he used to come off the bench it was behind Shandon (who would also play SF) so he still got starters minutes. Besides, even though Francis used to be a SG, he is now much more effective at PG.

I have nothing against WINK(damn caps lock) @ the 1 but I'm only intimating that he will flourish as a bomber. Cat is better off the bench as instant offense, a future 6th man of the year not a starting 2. I see WINK's potential as a future 26ppg scorer not a league leader in dimes. The only reason Cat started is because it was the best option at the time. If we had a pure point on the roster with a better NBA body than MOOCH we would be ridiculously potent. Jamison Brewer maybe there is a logjam at point in indiana--a nice problem to have.

It doesn't make sense to change the nucleus of the team. What was the point of keeping mo t and shandon???? Chemistry!!! I don't see how kemp would fit in or moving francis to sg after he's getting better at point. This is what I see in 2-3 years:

    1. francis (understood)

    2. mobley (understood)

    3. morris (he is similar to horry, probably better )

    4. griffin (It would make sense that this would be more suited towards his game, the putting him at center might be pushing it).

    5. cato (i hope he has a breakout year. breakout out of his slump laziness) or breakout of houston)

on the bench : taylor, langhi, norris (possibly or we can get a quality backup),collier, shandon.

Now, I don't know about all of you, but this is quite an impressive lineup for me.

I think the idea is that we have our 4 starters and will be looking for a 5 to complete the team. Long term contracts, still a few to go, will lock up our 9 man rotation.

    4 guards
    Griffin
    Mo, KT(resign next year)
    Missing peice, Cato

Not much playing time after 9 guys.

    wakko67,

As hard and stupid as it sounds, this is inevitable. Unless the rox have something else in mind or trying to move griffin at center, this is what is going to take place. I ,too, would like to ask the same question to the rox : 47-48 mil to start 2 years and then go on the bench. Does anyone else get the feeling that either griffin or taylor are going to be one of the pieces used to try to bring duncan in 2 years?

In any case, it doesn't make sense to play griffin at the three and it doesn't make sense to put him on the bench (after this year), so the only thing that does make sense is that he will start at the 4 in 2 years. Atleast we have options, there was a time when we didn't have a decent point and i don't think we really had a very good sf (horry was good, not very good).

First of all... what the hell does that mean? I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything, but I have no idea... Othella "big smiley with sunglasses"?

Second of all, I find it scary that nobody has said anything significant about Shawn Kemp. Yeah I don't get why Taylor will be paid almost 10 million when we need him the least, but more pressing in my opinion, is that FLAGRANT1 wants to bring an overweight, dwindling talent, chemistry distroying coke-head into our mix of gentlemen ballers! Cleveland, Portland, and Seattle are all doing great (sarcasm) in the wake of Hurricane Kemp. He's probably the least intelligent athlete in sports today... save for Mike Tyson.

Oh yeah, and even though he didn't really phrase it in the "most polite" way, I agree with TexaSalsa: "talk polite english instead of calling names and dribble. and post something intelligent."

The Recipe is simple: CATO AVERAGES 10 pts, 10 rebounds, 3.5 blocks in 38 minutes of play.
