i'm not exactly sure when it started and don't really even know how much has gone, but it seems the distance between my eyes and where my hair starts just keeps getting larger and larger. and i'm only 23 so it pisses me off.

i'm sure there are plenty of other people who have lost or are losing hair and have tried to stop it. has anyone had good success with a Propecia or a Rogaine or something else? did one work better than the other? do they even stop a receding hairline in the front?

most of what Propecia and Rogaine talk about is stopping hair loss or thinning on the top of the head, but that's not really my problem at this point, just the receding right up front.

i may one day just decide to wear my hair short, but as resistant to change as i am, that day hasn't come. i'm afraid i'd tell them to cut it too short and end up looking completely shaved or they'd do it and it would look horrible on me and then take forever to fix.

i figure this site is better than random customer reviews at other sites, so help a clutch bbs brother out.

Just accept the inevitable, and cut it short. None of the products out there, short of surgery really works enough to justify it's regiment.

Oh, and cut down on the masturbation.

I believe there is a site called hairlosstalk.com or something similar. It's a great forum where people talk of all sorts of experiences.

I haven't experienced problems yet but thought to look into it about a year ago. Prevention of further hair loss is currently quite successful, so if you think you are starting to lose hair then do something. It's possible to stop it. If you want to keep your hair and want to fork out some cash for it, go for it. It does work for quite a lot of people. Don't wait till it's too late, as it's much much much harder to get hair back than it is to prevent small amounts of hair loss into turning worse. I know two guys that had success with this. Of course the questions comes whether you would not have lost it anyway, though you might be the best judge of that. Another did not do anything for about two years and is currently growing some back but it's more difficult.

Yep. Classic horseshoe pattern. I've seen a lot of this.

You've still got pretty good coverage. Once the enemy advances beyond that perimeter - - then you won't be francis 4 prez anymore.

Mine started going thin when I was about 21. It started with just receding a little, but over the past few years it's started to get thinner on top. I'm 26 now, and it's slowed down some but it is gradually getting worse. It used to seriously bother me but now I really don't give a *****. There's a lot more important things to worry about than what my hair looks like. I'll be a sexy son of a b**** either way. When it gets to the point that I think it looks bad I'll just shave it off or cut it really short.

Accept who you are. You're going to be a baldy, my man. I shine heads for a quarter; for you, no charge.

I'm with coma. Stop the self-gratification thing and your eyes will stop falling away from your hair (you said the problem was the distance). Either that, or move your eyes UP and UP and UP, and then your receding hairline will be closer.

I feel your pain man. Mine started when I was 20 or so and now I am 24 and it used to bother me alot but after awhile I just said F it. I just buzz it with a #3 and it looks fine. Don't waste your time with Propecia and Rogaine. I hear they only slow it down and in a small percentage regrow it. You would think with all the scientific and medical breakthroughs we've had they would find something that works but oh well. I see a commercial for "Procede" all the time on FOX Soccer Channel, it claims to give you thicker hair and more coverage but don't think it "regrows" hair but am not sure. From what I saw on the commercial it says you apply it once a month, not every day like rogaine and propecia. It also comes with a 90 day money back guarantee which most don't offer. You can try that, I've been thinking about it but then I feel it may just be a gimmick and lead to false hope so I just say F it. There are plenty of bald dudes out there, just be confident in yourself.
