4-6, 11 points, 6 assists heading into the third. Starting pg for the Kings. He's playing pretty good!
playing well and it's one game unless he miraculously learned how to handle the ball i wouldn't expect this to turn into a trend
that was too funny when I realized he was their starting pg, smh thats the best they have to play the position? wow.. but head has developed nicely tho, its good to see him goin strong in the league but for some reason it is really humurous to me... SAC has 2 of our backups in their starting lineup (Landry and Head), wow
Head has always been GOOD in the regular season. For him, the key word is PLAYOFFS In 06-07. 20 minutes per game, 4,6 PPG shooting 30% FG and 26 3pt In 07-08 he was shooting great 7% from the field. Get it?
it really makes no sense since udrih has gotten off to a good start, why the sudden need to bench udrih and start head, anyone got any info?
because of tyreke. there's no way they will bench him even though they should. he is a straight ball hog with no outside jump shot. I'm amazed he didn't work on that in the off season. It's the exact same thing he's had since he came in as a rookie. Yeah he averaged 20/5/5 but he was a ball hog doing it and he still hasn't changed or improved his game one bit.
As someone who was totally on the Reke bandwagon until two particular games last season, you are totally right. The fact his jumper hasn't improved and he still has no left hand makes me smh. Reke has laid some serious eggs recently and the announcer last night may have been right on the money when he implied the league has him figured out. The formula: (1) Back off and (2) force him left. I saw the videos this summer of Reke, D-Rose and Westbrook working out together, but Reke hasn't improved like those two. We are now going to see what he's really made of. Evans must now dig down deep because the NBA won't have any mercy on him. Since he doesn't seem to have any potential to play PG, he may find playing SG even more difficult because the players are stronger and more athletic. Reke won't be able to use his size and strength as much. If he doesn't get his shooting % up, he better learn how to get more FTs. durvasa, having watched Beno play quite a bit last year, it's hard to believe Head helps the Kings more. I've never thought much of Westphal as a coach and I believe this is a big mistake. Beno may be struggling now, but they will painfully learn what Luther's limitations are.
That's what happens when you trade so much with one team. We become them and they become us. Though to point out, Greene never suited up in a regular season game for us.
What I want to know is has Head's handle improved. If it has, he could become a nice backup PG. If it hasn't, then he is another undersized off-the-ball shooting guard.
I don't know Evans's game that well, but if he has the ball in his hands a lot, what they exactly need is an off-the-ball shooting guard who can handle the ball a little. Head played that role well when he was in with McGrady. Until, of course, the playoffs.
The big problem with Reke's game is he's a ball hog. The Kings need some kind of facilitator in the backcourt to play alongside him.
