This flash vid is about as strange as they come:

    http://yoga.at.infoseek.co.jp/flash/kikkomaso.swf

Kikkoman is a brand of soy sauce. And it's also worth noting that in Japan, soy sauce is called shoyu (show you). Not that it actually makes this vid any more intelligible, but just thought I'd throw it out there.

OMG That Video was freakin hilarious. I especially love the part where Kikkoman just got laid and is in bed with the chick.

By the way it absolutely made no sense whatsoever

I'm stupider for having watched that.

I do love the "Replay" icon at the end though. Whoever clicks on that has some serious thrill issues.

I sometimes wonder if the Japanese culture has ever truly left the lates 1960's/early 1970's. It' like Sponge Bob meets Speed Racer. Bizarre, but funny in a disturbing sort of way.

Does anyone remember that egg song flash cartoon? It was even better than the kikkoman one.

"Eggs fresh fresh eggs. So popular and perfect in every way"

I had the link to it bookmarked, but when I went to try it today, the site was down.

That's the second-best animated flash tribute to soy sauce I've seen this week.

I'm keeping the other one to myself -- because it will blow YOUR MIND!

Was that really a commercial? I mean, I can't help but feel tha's a parody. Especially with the production values. I'm pretty sure Kikkoman can afford better. I think the song is real though, and somebody just animated a silly cartoon based on that.

That was great - I had to watch it about 5 times before I could keep read the subtitles along with the lyrics though. It just gets better and better. =)

Dakara tamagoyaki ni mo shoyu da to itteiru daro!
(I told you fried eggs are best with soy sauce!)

The warning at the beginning of the flash saying not to watch too closely to the TV and to have the lights on makes me think it's probably really from Kikkoman.

This definitely looks like a parody. A very funny one. At the beginning of the "ad" I think it credits a few posters from a famous Japanese bulletin board, 2 channel, which is a relatively open internet site where random people voice their opinions on everything under the sun.

The cat hanging was pretty funny. Was there a guy sleeping with a little girl?

I think I have seen this posted before.
