If you use Winamp to listen to music on your pc, then check out Listen-to. You have to see it to better understand it. The listen-to plugin allows the song titles you are playing to be broadcast to their website. the website compiles the data of all the users broadcasting. it's a huge database of songs, genres and albums. it's really cool. there are also groups and if you join one, you then are able to see stats for your groups dynamics. it's just a pretty neat thing. installation is as easy as copying files and editing a text file. you must make sure you are using the latest version of winamp 3, 2.91 or 2.81 version. plugins are available for other players, windows media, linux, music match, i-tunes, etc... really neat stuff, go check it out.
so did anyone check this out? has anyone installed it? too intrusive? if we get a few people to join, we can create a cc.net group?
