I say yes. Trying to be as analytical as possible and avoid homerism, I honestly don't see a better bench than ours. Your thoughts?

I would think you'd need to have some sort of facts to support the claim if you're trying to be objective and analytical about it. At the very least list out our bench players and other team's players that are generally regarded as deep.

Certainly up there. It would be nice if we had a true game-changing sixth man like Terry, Ginobili or Odom (maybe we'll get one back next summer? ;) ) but the current unit is solid.

Orlando looks to be pretty damn stacked

    J. Taylor could make the difference though.

    Boston's bench if Perkins starts:

    Shaq
    J. Oneal
    Big Baby Davis
    Von Wafer
    Nate Robinson
I don't think Michael Finley is still on the roster...
    Marquis Daniels

I do think we have the best bench in the league.. The only other bench's that might be able to compete with us would be Denver and Orlando.

    Lets take a look..

Orlando has - Bass, Anderson, Duhon, Richardson, Pietrus, Gortat, Reddick

We have - B.Miller, Battier, Hayes, Bud, Lowry, Hill, PatPat, and possibly Taylor.

Miller can hold his own with Bass. Battier can shut down whoever he gaurds, so no biggie. Hayes will also shut down whoever he gaurds, so another no biggie. Now Bud is a great offensive threat off the bench, but i'm not too sure defensively. Lowry is a freakin beast who could start on many other NBA teams. He's quick, strong, and has a high IQ which is a great combo to have at point. I think he can take on any other back up PG out there. I think Hill will continue to be a project, but I do think he will continue to improve as the season goes on. He should give us solid minutes. Now PatPat is very intriguing. He seems like a vet already and he's only a rookie. I think he could very well take away solid minutes from Hill and possibly Hayes at PF. Taylor could be a darkhorse for the rotation.. But if he does make it, I see pretty good production from him.

Either, way how can you not like our bench's chances???

well actually i dunno about 1....maybe top 5.
    in no order

Naming the top players that are likely to be in rotation....

Rockets - Lowry, Budinger, Battier, Hill, Miller, Hayes (no taylor isnt the difference maker)

Lakers - Blake, Barnes, Odom, Ratliff and Brown(assuming he resigns)

Celtics - Robinson, Wafer, O'neal, Davis, and maybe O'neal if he does join.

    Magic
    - (assuming Bass Starts and Lewis Moves to the 3) Duhon, Pietrus, Richardson, Anderson, Gortat and Reddick

Nuggets - Lawson, Afflalo, Harrington, Birdman, Carter

    and at 6

    Mavericks
    - (assuming Beaubois starts) Barea, Terry, Chandler, Marion, and Stevenson

    Sounds About Right....

I like to think of it in terms of playoffs. Who would you rather log in minutes with?

In those terms, i think the Celts, the Lakers, and Dallas have better benches going into the coming season.

Dallas: Haywood, Marion, Stevenson, JT, Barea.
    Lakers: Odom, Vujacic, Barnes, Blake
    Celts: J. O'Neal, S. O'Neal, Davis, Daniels, N. Robinson, Wafer

Special mention to the Blazers: Przybilla, Camby, Matthews, Fenandez, Bayless with possible meaningful contribution from Babbit. If these guys can get their chemistry going as good as they look on paper, they probably have the best bench.

Lol @ people saying Lakers bench is good. Lakers bench was the reason the Lakers almost lost last year. I don't see how Steve Blake is that much better than Farmar. Barnes is just a douche.
