My friend showed this to me today and it looks pretty cool. According to the website the device will give you an instantaneous power usage report in your house. I don't know about whole-house, but I'd be too scared to muck with that box... lol. If you want specific appliances, you can try something like the Kill-a-Watt devices. There's another company that makes something similar to Kill-a-Watt type stuff and gets good reviews, but I forget their name....
