Was Richardson a reach at 5 ? What about Haston at 17 ?

Haston was picked 16th. And yes, he was a BIG reach.

I wouldn't consider Richardson to be a reach. While Griffin may have more upside than him, Richardson was probably better than everyone else picked after him. Remember, he was only a sophomore, so he still hasn't reached his full potential. Plus, Golden State already has a glut of small forwards. Richardson was far and away the most talented shooting guard in the draft, and that was why he was selected.

    Other possible reaches may include:
    Pau Gasol at #3
    Kedrick Brown at #11
Steven Hunter at #15 (product of pre-draft hype)
Jeryl Sasser at #22 (but could turn out to be a genius pick)
    Brandon Armstrong at #23
Raul Lopez at #24 (he's under contract in Spain 'til 2007!)
