Cause they'll hire another good coach that'll outcoach the pants off of Mack Brown. With Steele and Slocum gone, there's a good chance he could be the worst coach in the Big XII South.
If you think so. I do not care who is hired, you try selling Bryan College Station to 18 yr old kids versus Austin, and see what response you get. Aggyland is not for everyone, as a matter of fact, there are many many kids who are rubbed the wrong way by the "traditions" there. The way I view it is it makes the rivalry a better one if they are able to secure a coach that makes them better.
while it may make it better, i like beating them handily every year. it makes me feel a little better after getting whooped by ou every year (or at least every year i've been here).
I don't see Bob Stoops having any trouble selling Norman, OK I hear that's (no offense to our Sooner posters) more of a dump than B/CS. I hope you and Mack Brown don't underestimate what a coaching change can do at A&M. This is not the 1940's. A&M may not have won a national title, but in the last 20 years they've been a fairly successful program. Their next coach will challenge Mack Brown. btw, who will coach them in the bowl?
I was thinking the Motor City Bowl would be interested since the Big 10 will not fill their slot. Aggies in Detroit? Visiting 8 Mile?
It is? I'd read about the Motor City thing, but was still under the impression that it wasn't a done deal and that A&M might not accept.
Whu..whu...WHAT!!! Damn, I gotta call my Dad! I've been lobbying for R.C.'s removal for about 3 years, but now that it's happened I feel kind of sorry for the guy. However, it was clearly time for a change. Good luck RC! Thanks for everything!
If they don't accept it would be a disgrace. If anything do it for your seniors. Its there for them though.
What the Ags aren't realizing is that they will have to deal with 1) Players transferring away from A&M as a result of the coaching change 2) Recruits leaving the program as a result of the coaching change They need to name a successor quickly so that the re-recruiting process can begin.
