To all of you men out there who get razor burn, what has worked best for you?? What combo of shaving cream, razor, aloe, aftershave, etc. will keep that area under my chin from getting red??

i remember being broke in the past and ran out of the "gel to foam" shave stuff, so i used lotion for a couple of weeks. it actually worked better than the reg stuff.

I've always used shaving cream when I shaved.

I also use shaving cream when I shave my face.

Shaving sucks. Grow a beard. That's the best solution I've found. :)

The best way to get rid of razor burn is to learn how to shave properly...

Absolutely. So much easier to maintain. It took me a long time to grow one, since I'm the fairest one of all, but I'm pretty sure I'll die with a beard.

    REDBEARD FOREVER!!!

What a bunch of wussies. I've used the same razor blade for three months now. No shaving cream. Just hot water. Be a man. Your face will get used to it.

I had the same problem..Go with Total Shaving Solution, trust me, it works. I've been using it for about 5 or 6 years and havn't had razor burn since. They will even send you a free sample to try out, you just have to pay for shipping. One other thing that helps is shaving in the shower.

Since our last convo, I've been paying attention to how long I can use one razorblade. I can typically use one for about four months.

My secret. I shave against the grain every other day with only hot water. And I let my beard grow out on the weekends. So I only shave thrice a week. Never had rust issues ever.

This stuff is unbelievable. I will NEVER go back to cream and after shave. 3 drops before you shave and 3 after you shave. 2 minutes later, your face feels like you didn't even shave at all.

I can't recommend this stuff enough. $12 a bottle and the bottle will last you months.

I was a skeptic, but one day I saw a bottle of some stuff called "The Shaving Secret" at Wal-Mart. It's basically the same -- took it home and tried it. There are no words to describe how great a shave it is. Then I decided to get The Total Shaving Solution, to see if it was better -- it's like nothing you've ever tried before.

I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER go back to shaving cream. The Total Shaving Solution is the greatest shaving product ever. I used to have bad razor burn, plus razor bumps on my chin -- all gone. It's one of the best products ever. Seriously. It's a bit of a shock at first, because it's so different from what you're used to, but after three or four shaves, you'll wonder why anyone ever uses anything else.

Geez. Close your bathroom door, and shave right after you shower. The steam will soften your beard enough to shave without any problems.

Sorry Fatty, some of us who have reached puberty have to shave more than 3 times a week. Maybe hot water works on peach fuzz, but there is no way it works for a real beard.

I can grow a full beard in two weeks. Anyone who has seen me on the weekend knows this.

The trick is to shave against the grain. That'll typically save you a day in shaving.
