I did not get to see young play in the Rocky Mountain Review, and I am wondering how he compares to Moochie Norris. Toronto needs a point guard, and Norris is a good player. If Young is a competant backup, how about a Norris/trade exception for A. Davis?

    There's only one mooch [IMG].

Honestly, I'd take that deal... I'd still miss Moochie though [IMG].

I mean, Ray-ford just doesn't roll off the tongue quite as well as mooooochieeeeee.

I uh, guess I should say something worthwhile now. I saw 3 games of the RMR, and Moochie was burning his man. Young was hot in the game that was televized, but didn't seem quite as talented. Still, for A. Davis... not much of a decision [IMG].

Bryce Drew has more trade value around the league than Moochie, and he, not Moochie, is the one that needs to be dealt. I doubt if such a scenario for Davis would be feasible from Toronto's perspective, but if it was, it would be Bryce Drew heading their way, not Moochie. Bryce's value is higher around the league, and he is also the player we are trying to deal. Moochie won't be traded, period. Why, if you're the Rockets, would you trade your 2nd string PG for less in return when you could trade your 3rd string PG (Drew) for more?

I have to agree with Cat on this. It sounds as though the Rocks are positioning themselves to clear a little cap room by signing Rayford and dealing Drew. I am not an expert in the cap but wouldn't this make since? Norris is friends with Francis, Drew would be third string anyways, and in our offence we use guards that like to shoot such as Francis and Norris. So if we can unload a third string guard for one that would cost a lot less, it seems to make perfect sense.

I say we get a poward forward but not a power forward that will demand to start next year because I don't think Webber will like
    being a sixth man [IMG]

Davis would of course want to start this year, but remember he does have an opt-out clause in his contract after next season. So most likely, he would be brought in as a one year fix, and then opt-out of his contract next summer when we plan on going after Webber with our cap room.
