    Lebron James
    Dwayne Wade
    Chris Bosh

Now add the below for less than other teams were offering:

    Ray Allen
    Rashard Lewis

With Ray and Rashard spreading the floor, and Battier and Haslem
and the other veterans does anyone in the NBA have a chance
against these guys for the next few years??

Looks like they plan to play LeBron at the PF next year full time. No room for him at the 3 with Battier and Lewis

Possibly New York or Brooklyn or L.A after Kobe leaves.

Whichever team the agents and shoe companies want to win.

Yes, Shane and Rashard are going to make Lebron change positions.

They still need another center. Maybe Haywood.

Does that distinction even mean anything? I don't think it'll affect the way he plays at all. He'll just be matched up against opposing PF's on defense.

What ticks me off is that Heat and other teams can aquire good assets at a bargain price!

Didn't they play Rashard at PF in Orlando? He's 6'10".

Barring injuries, no. They're the most talented team in the NBA BY FAR. They finally make Van Gundy's prediction of 70 wins true if they get a decent center, and if they don't they'll still win 60+ games.

Agreed but San Antonio, Celtics, and the Heat have been doing this for the last few years. If you have enough pieces and the chance of winning a championship is that much higher, veterans are bound to take paycuts to play for your team. We nearly had that chance with our former duo but injuries played a huge part and we really can't control that.

The Heat are definitely going to be a force to be reckon with though. I really wonder how well the Celtics are going to be doing next year, with the Terry/Allen switch. I know Terry isn't the same 2 guard that Allen is but he can still definitely shoot and he relishes the 6th man role.

    Redundant pieces....they need defensive bigs.

Big 3 + Miller / Battier / Chalmers + rest of bench got them to the playoffs, and eventually got them the 'ship.

Now, you upgrade Miller and Battier, essentially, with Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis?

Redundant, yes, but still an upgrade.

If the Heat even remotely sign a decent 5; even one that produces more than Anthony, Stern might as well just leave the 'ship in Miami, because only one team is winning that thing for a while.

Wonder if they make a run for darko. He's a big and he's better than curry and Pittman.

Bigs available that can go to the Heat on the cheap:

    Kwame
    Oden
    Milicic
    Haywood

That's off the top of my head. Maybe they even make a run at Scola if he gets amnestied, for a more consistent low post presence. Wait nevermind that was Scola I was talking about.

not to get off track... these guys take less than they could get elsewhere...but people keep arguing that a trade for D12 is good because "he won't walkaway after 1 year - cause thre's no way he'd leave the extra money on the table..."....jus sayin...

Both have made fortunes in their career...:rashard was amnestied so he still get his full 120 mill plus

True, but I don't think 37 year old Ray Allen and 15 year vet Rashard Lewis help do that very much.

Who was going to pay "more money" for Rashard Lewis? Guy is done, done, and done and is cashing an 8-figure amnesty check this year anyway.
