I am in a league w/ 12 teams and we are playing the standard rules (9 categories). pts, rebs, assist, tos, stls, blks, 3s, ft %, fg % Here is my team: Dream Team 2000Propose TradePos Player PG Jason Kidd (NJ - PG) SG Allen Iverson (Den - PG,SG) G Grant Hill (Pho - SG,SF) SF Antawn Jamison (Was - SF,PF) PF Tim Duncan (SA - PF,C) F Zach Randolph (NY - PF) C Ben Wallace (Chi - C) INJ C Brad Miller (Sac - C) Util Chris Wilcox (Sea - PF,C) Util Nick Collison (Sea - PF,C) BN Charlie Villanueva (Mil - SF,PF) BN Wally Szczerbiak (Sea - SG,SF) BN Shaquille O'Neal (Mia - C) BN Jerry Stackhouse (Dal - SG,SF) BN Chucky Atkins (Den - PG) I am dropping Chucky Atkins for Pietrus.
drop Shaq... he's a negative. He'll make your team LOSE. Seeing you have Kidd and Duncan, I'm guessing you picked 9th or 10th? Unless you're trying to have ALL time Lowest FT %, I suggest you drop Shaq, Trade Duncan and Wallace.
It's decent...you need players with better handles (TO and assists) and higher FT%. Half the guys on your list are injury risks. This is a great team to trade up with, but I wouldn't bother keeping 1/3 of the players you have. You'll get killed in roto leagues, while you're a potential playoff contender in h2h.
I've never understood the whole "fantasy" thing. I root for my teams. One team per sport, except hockey. I really don't need to immerse myself into sports further than I am. I catch every football game for my college and NFL team. I catch 80% of basketball games. I catch 60% of baseball games. Let's do the math: Football: Roughly = 3 hours. Combine college and pro, and that equals 84 hours per season. Basketball: Roughly 66 games per yr. Typical game last two and a half hours. = 164 hours per season. Baseball: Roughly 97 games per yr. Typical game, again, last two and a half hours. Therefore = 243 hours per season. Let's do the math: Football: 84 Basketball: 164 Baseball: 243 Total: 491 hrs of sports. And that doesn't even include the playoffs. Seriously? Playoffs? That means 20 days worth of staring "Clockwork Orange" at a TV per year. To me, that is enough. I'd like to think I have a life.
