it was over the counter stuff... i don't think it's a big deal, just a big mistake that shouldn't have happened. he should've reported what he's taking and gotten it checked out. but i can see how it happened.

Guys. Calm down. This was unintentional (hopefully). Not roids.

It was probably an accident but if they miss home court vs Boston(Healthy Garnett!) or Cleveland(Two yrs in a row on the road?) by a game or two then this becomes a BIG DEAL!

It is a steroid thats naturally secreted. Some clinical studies have showed it to be a fat burner. I always thought that he was pretty cut actually..

Luckily this is pretty low on the list of embarrasing things done by an Alief-Elsik graduate. Tila Tequila's herpes for instance.

It was an over the counter product that he didn't know was against the rules. It wasn't like he was like he was injecting stuff.

    Some fun quotes from wikipedia:

DHEA supplements are sometimes used as muscle-building or performance-enhancing drugs by athletes. However, a randomized placebo-controlled trial found that DHEA supplementation had no (statistically significant) effect on lean body mass, strength, or testosterone levels.

Because DHEA is converted to androstenedione and then testosterone, it has two chances to aromatize into estrogen- estrone from androstenedione, and estradiol from testosterone. As such, it is possible for increases in estrogen levels more than testosterone in men.

That's what Mark Mcguire said 10 years ago, "oh here's my bottle of Andro, over the counter stuff, that's why all my muscles have muscles, that and all the milk I drink."

I'm pretty sure this wouldn't make anyone hesitate from using steroids. :/
When someone eventually does get caught intentionally injecting themselevs, they need to put down a really harsh ban.

All the Magic look very well toned, but basketball is one of the few sports where roids can actually negatively affect the way you play.. Its not like baseball or football where being the biggest and the baddest gets you the W

I highly doubt Lewis was intentionally taking roids. There are so many supplements (check out www.bodybuilding.com website) out there its hard knowing whats allowed and whats not. He probably was taking the stuff to stay in shape like most athletes...
