    November 26, 2003
SEATTLE (AP) -- Seattle SuperSonics forward Rashard Lewis missed practice Wednesday after the death of his brother in Houston.

Team officials didn't know how long Lewis might be out. Seattle's next game is Friday at Utah.

Details of the brother's death were unknown.

Lewis is averaging 21.3 points and 5.8 rebounds. He scored a career-high 50 points in a win over the Los Angeles Clippers earlier this season.

    Does anyone know details?

Saw that just now on *****.com sports page...

"Lewis, who is averaging 21.3 points, missed the game to be with his family after the unexpected death of his brother in Houston. Lewis is expected to rejoin the team in time for Saturday's game. "

That's gotta be hard anytime, but especially around the holiday.

    :(

Thoughts and prayers to the Lewis family.

Again, why does the press have to include a players stats after a story? It's ridiculous.
