Watched a show on the Raptors Network called inside the draft, wherein they do several interviews as well as show the war room during the draft, with deals being discussed, etc. This year there were two interesting notes...First, and most shocking, the Nuggets told the Raptors that they were the only team to make an offer for Carmelo, which blows my mind...but more relevant to Rockets fans, the Raps thought that they had a second round steal locked up in Malik Badiane, and were stunned when the Rockets took him just ahead of them. They saw him as someone for next year, but were very impressed. Oh, and as most of you are Houstonians, the Raps were also very, very high on Ebi, citing especially his work ethic and overall attitide which they rated as among the better they had ever seen at any level. They were lining up a trade into the late 1st to nab him. It should be noted that the Raps only foray into high schoolers previously worled out pretty well.
