If it's any reassurance after losing to the Raptors on Wednesday, they followed up the win over Houtson with a sound beating of the defending champion Detroit Pistons tonight by a score of 101-89.

Detroit has only given up 100 points once since the Sheed trade (Mavs) but could do little to slow down Toronto tonight, whose bench outcsored the Pistons bench 30-8.

Carter, Rose and Marshall didn't even play particularly well but managed to contribute with key rebounds, assists and decent defense. Loren Woods had a huge game with 17 points and 14 rebounds while sophomore PF Chris Bosh had a nice game with 18 points and 8 rebounds, pretty much having his way in the 2nd half.

It's becoming more and more clear to Toronto fans that the team was horribly misused last year under Kevin O'Neill and that rookie head coach Sam Mitchell is able to get the team to perform at a higher level by implementing a system that suits their talents.

Who's have thunk that Toronto wold be 2-0 and Houston 0-2?

Call it the McGrady curse :p
