Crazy to think that people were calling for his head before the Gay trade. Also, i feel like this move almost guarantees Lowry's return.
Within the pool of candidates the Rockets were considering, I wanted Casey before McHale. He is a defensive-minded coach who would have gladly submitted to Morey statistical philosophy on offense.
isn't he restricted anyway? I don't think after the year he's had and the relationship he seems to have with Derozan that you let him walk. They are a very good back court and I think with the continued development of Ross, Amir and jonas valanciunas that they have a bright future to build around. Even though I think they got robbed by the refs and their treatment of the nets this was still great experience for a group of young guys.
Yeah, I wanted Casey too. I actually would have taken anyone over McHale, but Casey seemed like the best of the bunch we were interviewing. I'm not sure Dwight signs though.
