listening to rap these days, i've always wondered if anyone would ever reach pac or biggie status (or maybe a reincarnation of the rivalry). is there any two that could possibly do it? downloaded (legally) the game's "it's ok" (one blood) single and it's soooo phocking bad arse. "black t-shirt, so all you see is the 'a' turn on the tv, and all you see is the 'a' n***** better make a dance and try to get radio play keep on snappin' your fingers, i ain't going away i don't regret what i spit, cuz i know what i say" i think he sunk atlanta's battleschit. ok... the game's first album kicked arse beyond belief. i didn't think that a rapper from the west coast could be as lyrically talented as he is. he's a commercial artist, he has a following, and he's without a doubt talented. sooooo... could he be the next pac? who would his rival be? doubt anyone here in houston could keep up that has a following nationwide (mike jones is nationwide, but doubtful). luda maybe? fabolous from brooklyn (biggie's hometown)is talented and has tried to put brooklyn back on the map, but not enough have caught on... still. 50 is flat out lame. hmmmmm.... not a big fan of commercial stuff, but game's first single is already a classic in my mind. can't wait for the album to drop.
all fans of The Game should be made to watch this video: <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/GpRs85mQE90"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/GpRs85mQE90" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

ok. sigh... i'll play along and continue with the derail. this is my favorite game... (really just wanted to use the spoiler button thingee again) Spoiler it really needs to make a comeback. what was really annoying was the little schits on tv that couldn't make it past the second bucket. couldn't be that phocking hard.
the "a"... shirts or hats with the "a" logo are generally atlanta braves mechandise. soooo... just a slap to atlanta. lil jon... hence the "snap yo finger" comment. i think dem franchize boyz with the "make a dance" line from their "lean" song. c'mon pun. like i say entertaining in a soap opera way, but the game's music seems to be legit. edit: just noticed i left myself open for more derailmentism (that sounded neat... hmmmm... "derailmentism") with "the game's music seems to be legit". no game show music posts.
all he does is what fifty does, drop names, talk about people, try to start contreversy to sell. I don't listen to any of those guys, but that is a badass song. clearly his best song that has gotten radio play. I wouldn't know any of his songs that don't get radio play.
"black t-shirt, so all you see is the 'a' turn on the tv, and all you see is the 'a' n***** better make a dance and try to get radio play keep on snappin' your fingers, i ain't going away i don't regret what i spit, cuz i know what i say" oooh - he rhymed "a", "play", "away" and "say". that must have taken alot of thought. watch out tupac!
Speaking of hip hop, who's gonna watch Ice T's Rap School tonight on VH1? http://www.vh1.com/shows/dyn/ice_t_rap_school/107250/episode.jhtml Class is in session and Ice-T, the Original Gangsta, is gonna school ya. In "Ice-T's Rap School," Ice invades the hallowed halls of York Prep, an exclusive private school in Manhattan's tony upper west side. And in just six weeks, he'll try to transform a small class of 8th grade sucka MCs into big-time rappers. Ice delivers some hardcore lessons in rhyming, scratching, and breakdancing. And after a roller-coaster journey of nail-biting auditions and pressure-packed recording sessions, the kids face the ultimate final exam: opening up for Public Enemy at BB Kings in New York. Will Ice win over straight-laced students, skeptical parents, and distrusting faculty? Will he be able to turn these prepsters into true playas?
there is someone in houston who could keep up AND run circles around the game. his name is chamilitary man.
Are you serious? The Game is nowhere near on the level of Pac or Biggie. He isn't even close. You say nobody from Houston could keep up with him but I think Chamillionaire is better than him and he is "nationwide". I'm not a fan of 50, but he was a major reason Game's album did so well. Look at the singles he released, 50 was in the majority of them.
50 Cent's sidekick wants some attention! And yes, Chamillionaire annihilates the Game, not that he stepped to Houston. Z-Ro could also "keep up" but he hasn't broken nationally. But if he wants to stick to Atlanta, Ludacris kills him as well. Hell, even T.I. edit: Oh, and by the way, none of these guys (ESPECIALLY the Game) is going to come close to the cult of personality that was Tupac. Nobody will.
The Best hipHop has been coming out of ATL for a while OutKast and Luda are two of the tops in THE HIPHOP 'GAME' I guess when you an ant among giants. .you toss ya lil rocks to get attention Rocket RIver
What made Tupac so damn good wasn't the fact that he just called people out - it's that he could annihilate people verbally. At the same time, he had songs that were personal or actually had meaning to them and made you listen to the lyrics. He was commercial, but he never lost what he was about when he rapped. When he said stuff, you knew he believed it, and it wasn't just to sell some records. The only other rapper in recent times that made me really listen to their lyrics and what they were saying is Eminem - like in his song Stan. People can hate him all they want, but Em is lyrically gifted and his style is unique. With the guys from Atlanta, you can't tell half of them apart when they're singing. I agree though that Outkast is good. Ludacris I'm on the wire about. The first time I heard some of Chamillionaire's stuff, I was beyond impressed. He's got one of the sweetest flows in the business right now. Well the commercial business anyway - I don't listen to much "underground" rap anymore... I barely have time to listen to the stuff on the radio/XM.
z-ro the sickest rapper in the game he would kill game and 50 he already has like 3 songs dissing 50 cent..... look out for the new album "im still livin" comes out nov. 7 better yet just go get all his old albums and you will know what im talking about.
