Seriously. The Rox and the Pacers both played on Sunday. Both have two days off and then both play back to back games on Wednesday and Thursday. So why is the game scheduled for Wednesday when it would be easier and make much more sense to have the game on Tuesday?

I know the Aeros (yes, we still have a hockey team) have a game on Tuesday, but who gets priority when scheduling events. I would assume it's the Rockets. I could understand not playing the game on Tuesday if the Pacers schedule prevented it, but they're in the same boat as us. It just seems like the NBA actually likes to schedule back to backs and 4 games in 5 nights. Sometimes the schedule dictates it but we should have been able to avoid this back to back pretty easily.

So now, because of the NBA's r****ded schedule, we have to play Dallas on little rest when they get two days off prior to our game.

In a way, it's good for me because I'm busy on Tuesday nights and can't watch games, but I'd trade in a night of watching the Rox if it meant we weren't tired going into Dallas.

    /end rant.

Seems like it would make sense to space out the games when possible...prevents fatigue and injury. Questionable indeed. Maybe the Aeros schedule was made before the NBA schedule.

Either way, it sucks for us going into Dallas on the second half of a back-to-back.

You answered your own question. Its the hockey team. Yes the Rockets get first dibs but the hokcye team still has to have a good schedule. You can't screw over the lesser teams all the time. You have to make sacrifices.

    You call that a break?

I'm with you on this. I don't understand why Indiana and Rockets don't play on Tuesday since both team are off. The schedules been pretty stupid this year. I see alot of back to back games when there is no need for it.

the "big deal" is that we have a break today, but could've at least played tomorrow so that we can have at least 1 day off before we play the hated mavs instead of playing a back to back against a good team

Personally I like the break. Denver was a big game and Dallas is a big game. And the Rockets were up for Denver and will be up for Dallas. Indiana type games or the ones that slip away. Remember Philadelphia. The teams you know you should beat but you just don't take serious enough and then get whooped upside the head. The extra day of rest will help us refocus on Indiana. Add that with the "remember Philadelphia chant and we should win.

The Aeros haven't played a game since last Wednesday. They could have played the hockey game tonight and made everybody happy. :D

no worries. Just start Brooks, Green, Jones, Novak, and Hayes and let the starters rest. I bet they could still beat the Pacers :D

It seems to me a perfectly reasonable rant. I, too, would love a clarification. I'm giving this a '4'.

I think that is one part of NBA. Because this game is the top basketball league of the world, it will be tough.

Nothing wrong with the gripe, it's a legitimate argument. Why do you act like him/her making this thread inconvienced you in any way?

Do they have some kind of scheduling rule saying that each team has to play an equal amount of back-to-backs? Just a thought.
