This is just driving me insane.. the Phoenix Suns and GS Warriors used to be my favorite non-Rockets teams to watch. I love Nash and Diddy (who are, in my opinion, tied for the best PG in the league, Chris "ref's favorite" Paul can suck it) and these two teams always delivered, unlike my Rockets (Suns beat the Lakers, my most hated team, and Warriors killed the Mavs and almost took care of the Jazzholes)..

now, the Warriors are obviously gone, all the good players AND Baron Davis are gone, so their nothing to me..

The Suns lost a couple of my favorite players: Raja Bell whom I admire because of Kobe Ownage, and Diaw who was extremely underrated, oh, and they lost the great D'Antoni. but they added Shaq, Hill, and JRich, who are also among my favorite players, so I expected greatness, but watching them right now is just painful.. I just watched the Suns-Spurs game and I'm not pissed at the result of the game, I would've liked it if they won, but it's not that big a deal, my biggest problem is: they SUCKED! as in, I used to love watching them because of the electrifying style and smart plays.. nothing does it for me more than intelligent basketball "Nash-like" plays, and every Suns game used to be dominated by such plays.. today's game was just an illustration of how stupid, unreliable and overrated Amare is.. if you were like me and thought that "the Big Lability" was a good nickname for Yao, you need to watch the Phoenix Suns and Amare "stupid" Stoudemire..

I used to like Matt Barnes when he was with the warriors for his heart and energy, but now he just looks like a r****d out there.. he had atleast 4 boneheaded plays that were essentially game changing..

but the problem is, overall, the entire game was unwatchable.. the Suns were sluggish, and it seems like the stupid new coach doesn't trust Nash that much because he kept going to Amare in the post down the stretch.. Why in god's name would you go to Amare if you have Nash at PG? just give him the ball and run pick & rolls, let him penetrate the lane and kick out or dish to your boy Amare for the easy dunk, don't give it to Amare to post up, he aint Hakeem, heck, Carl Landry has better post moves than Amare. the only difference is, Amare has Nash feeding him the all for easy 2's, Landry has Alston throwing up teardrops..

I just want a team that's exciting to watch :( I love the Rockets, but they're just not that exciting anymore.. yes, I actually thoroughly enjoyed watching the 04-05 JVG team play.. I have a great appreciation for great PG's, and Bobby Sura was every bit of that.. right now, they're good, but they're not entertaining, and my 2 entertainment teams are gone :(

I understand your frustration about the Suns. Their team consists of a mixture of square pegs, round holes and triangles; very little of which fits together. They have no identity right now. Too many many creaky old rotation players (Shaq, Nash, Hill), an incredibly selfish star (Amare), a guy who's completely lost his mojo (Barbosa), a coach who's alienated half the team and a clueless GM.

They still have enough talent to do some damage but Terry Porter has to figure it out. I'm not sure he can. And injuries better not happen.

I think suns are underrated actually. You got J rich coming off the bench, along with Grant Hill starting. You also have SHAQ and Amare. I think its a matter of time before they begin to look like a dangerous team

They LOOK dangerous right now, the problem is that everyone knows they never will contend in their current form. In my opinion, J. RIch was a knee-jerk rxn to try to show the team that they weren't abandoning their Offensive-philosophy (remember they traded away one of their best defensive players). Knee-jerk rxns never translate into a true contender; they will always look dangerous but it won't matter in the end.

A good example of a change made by a team that does not abandon the team's philosophy and does not lose important personnel is Kyle Korver to Utah and Mo Williams to Cleveland.

Blame it on Kerr or blame it on the coach, but this team will never "figure it out" and will struggle to make the playoffs.

    suns - 0 rings
    warriors - 0 rings

to say that they delivered every time is a joke....they were fun to watch because they ran and ran and ran..

i personally like to see good defense which creates good offense, thats what wins in the playoffs. The warriors had one lucky series against a team they matched up well with that was soft. The suns could never beat the spurs, they could only beat the lakers before pau, and the soft mavs, neither of which played any "d".

small ball has never won in the playoffs and never will.

The Suns' achilles heel is that Nash and Stoudemire can't guard anyone. A well-coached team like the Spurs take advantage of that all the time.

Yep, that and Nash, Amare & Hill need to get along better with the coach.

The Warriors' putative "demise" has to do with the fact that expectations rose way too high for them after that beat-down of the 67-win Mavs. The fact was, Don Nelson knew his former team inside-and-out; coaching the Warriors against it gave an immense advantage. Talent-wise they had no business being in that series.

    Baron Davis--a playoff winner? Ha.

that pretty much sums it up.

You simply have to atleast try to play on both sides of the floor. Watching guys like Nash and Amare who had all the tools to be atleast decent defenders play so terrible at that end is sickening to watch. I put the blame on Dantoni. He didn't make Amare play any D and basically ruined him for any coach that he plays for in the future.
