    1. Hayes (Most versatile)
    2. Deke (BS and rebounds)
    3. Yao (Size alone changes a lot of shots)
    4. McGrady (Long - can shut down people when he wants to)
    5. Snyder (Physical defender)
    6. VSpan (Manu like D. Pesky/tough and stays in front)
    7. Battier (Good help/team defender. Vastly overrated one-on-one defender)
    8. Bonzi (When in shape, can be decent on D)
    9. Padgett (Good for 5 minutes to bother someone)
    10. Novak (Decent one-on-one defender, absolutely clueless on team defense)

Damn! I forgot my boy Luther!!!

I would put him in between Bonzi and Padgett.

He can get a few steals here and there because of his quickness but he is too light right now and gets pushed around on the blocks.

    lmao.. :D
I think u are a little harsh on Rafer though, I think he is a decent defender..
and as for Juwan, I think u are overrating him bigtime.. 5726 is rediculous!! I am talking 10034539876343, and for convinience issues, we can use scientific notation:
    1.23*1025

Yeah, I would consider Head a better perimeter defender than McGrady...McGrady has his nights but Head's more consistent and reliable in that department, especially on the ball...

You're telling me a 4-year vet's defensive IQ and know-how isn't better than a rookie's? Um, ok. V-Span is alright, but still gets burnt and makes too many mistakes. Padgett is solid and gives a hard effort while he's out there. I guarantee if you put both on the court for 48 minutes, V-Span's man will burn him and score on him more than Padgett's will.

And yes, EVERYONE's defense is better than Novak's...Howard played pretty decently tonight, and does well against brute forwards who aren't mobile and agile...

Novak does well against, well, um, nobody...

Wow, Hayes is getting alot of love. Our best defender is ......MING! by just standing on the court. But, I am glad that Hayes is getting the credit he deserves.
